YG Entertainment, home of legendary female groups like 2NE1 (2009) & BLACKPINK (2016) is set to debut their new girl group BABYMONSTER to lead the 5th gen on November 27th

 

The 7 member multi-national girl group consists of 3 Koreans (Ahyeon, Haram & Rora), 2 Thai (Chiquita & Pharita) and 2 Japanese (Asa & Ruka)

 

Their debut single titled “Batter Up” (배터 업) which in Korean translates to “let the games begin”, is a play on words for the songs theme and also signaling that they’re next up to bat (debut). The song is said to be an intense Hip-Hop song, both bold and unique set to standout and show the girls unique charms

Very interested to hear what it sounds like 

So excited for them to debut! I hope they're as big on debut as BP was

Yg always slays with the visuals. Idk who they hire but everything always looks super saturated and expensive 

newjeans's age and Get Up, their impact already

 

and the racist one is finally gone from this group, so the future is looking better now

 

i dont know anything about this group but pharita stands out the most to me so far

rora kind of reminds me of wonyoung idk why

I feel like this whole roll-out has been botched as hell and I don't fully trust YG, but I really like the girls and hope they can succeed - they deserve it

so the rest are early teens with the youngest at 14 

Ahyeon wasn't kicked out, nor she left the group. She only won't be participating in the debut due health reasons, but will be back later (YG statement)

I might stan these gorls, kinda hope they debut with double title like BP.

so funny how yg always have a project, this case a R&B group, and then just throw it all out and stick with the same hip-hop concept for the group (not complaining tho, I like BB-21-BP style)
