Early 2000s Pop Rock Divas Appreciation Thread

Featured Replies

Today we have Pop Punk divas like Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Gayle but before them......
.We had the 2000s Pop Rock / Pop Punk Divas. They are iconic and gave us some strong Pop Punk-Pop Rock-Power Pop gems

We had 90s-80s icons and old rockstars like Joan Jett-Alanis Morisette but today we are focused on the early 2000s ones

Their studio albums were centered around Pop Rock-Rock Music instead of the Dancepop/R&B of the time
Some of these ladies were serving Blink 182-Sum 41-Simple Plan....

Honorific Mention to Xtina / Britney
Even if they didnt have albums centered in Pop Rock Music
FIGHTER-I LOVE ROCK N ROLL Were Great pop rock experiments :gaycat5:

Who's your favorite among these iconic female singers from the EARLY 2000S? :gaycat3:
What's your favorite pop rock track from that era? It can be a single or an album track.
Do you still love this genre-subgenre? :chick1:
Did I miss anyone on this iconic list of Pop Rock Females? Did i miss a Pioneer Here?

Do you think this sound has a chance for another revival this decade, or is just goin down to never comeback?

Pop rock had a mainstream mini-renaissance back in 2021 with artists like Olivia-MGK-Willow-Maneskin...
but this 2023 only Olivia is thriving with it... :emofish:

I didnt add evanescence-amy lee even if she's iconic in the 2000s cause i feel like she's more a Rock-Metal Icon u get me? :gaycat: She really deserves a honorific mention. Her  Rock Gothic sound was popular Worldwide.  Here in Latinoamerica her songs were everywhere.

Oh wait Fiona is Pop Rock-Rock? I thought she was a balladist :rip: in the vibes of norah jones. Lemme play her music. Legend :gaycat1:

Meredith is iconic. An icon from the 90s. If im not wrong Shakira was inspired by her in her first pop rock records. Love the aesthethic of that video

Belinda with that Pop Rock sound was really innovative in Latinoamerica. Those are 2000s classics here. The Pop Latin Princess
if im not wrong those songs were produced by american producers.

I also wanted to add a rock black female here. I remember watching the video of a black pop rock star of the 2000s but i forgot her name. :emofish: with a successful career I think she was canadian or something....

Thanks for your comments and suggestions sugarcubes. Keep em coming. :gaycat3: Rock it out!

Glad you enjoyed them and everyone here.
I also suggest to check the albums of those divas if you have time. Great Pop Rock productions :gaycat5:

Here in Latinoamerica in the early 2000s  English Pop Rock from those queens and Alt Rock Bands was everywhere and i assumed that was the most popular genre in the states in the early 2000s.....
Then i looked the charts and everything was Hip Hop/R&B mostly in the top 5-1 in the States in the early 2000s.
I was so so confused with that :gaycat:
I thought all those iconic pop rock tracks were Nr1 in the Hot 100 but they were not......All those Avril songs feel bigger than their peaks.

I love this kind of pop rock cause it reminds of those old american teen movies with house partys :giraffe:
I feel like all these pop rock videos have a very teen like-young vibe. So much energy and fun. Go crazy.

Im sad this sound didnt take off as we expected.  Checked the billboard this year and only Country and Disco-R&b are popular.
Olivia is the only one still trying with this genre :emofish: she needs to move to a different thing or she will fade away lol
Maybe Billie with her future pop rock anthems could bring some life to it...........
