Hey @BuzzCharts, i don’t think we’re getting this song midnight local time like other interscope releases. There’s a reason why they have a countdown timer right? And that countdown ends at midnight ET, which is 23 hours from now.

Major releases usually do a midnight ET release and their debut seems fine? Local midnight release sounds tragic, the twitter hate train will just illegally stream it via some twitter upload.

wait who was the last one who made midnight ET release though?? even Adele did a local release from what i remember

 

isn’t spotify counter as per the period of 24 hours from each country? meaning anyone with time before ET would have less hours to count. that includes UK/Europe, which is also a big market for her. but anyway time zones are confusing, so idk.

Adele released EOM at UK midnight time or 7pm ET. Other huge acts like Taylor released their stuff at midnight ET or 9pm PT.

i think i’m being forgetful  now that i think about it i never really care for releases like that so i don’t really wait for the minute it’s out. so it is coming to me now that when i wake up it’s already released midnight ET. which is most releases

but now i’m remember SOUR (and g4u) leaked due to local midnight release

Shocked that Interscope actually allowed for a Global Friday release.  They never let Selena, Billie, or Olivia do that during the SOUR era
