Does Flo NEED to dance? I feel like their team saw Katseye's success and where the mainstream r&b and pop scene is moving and thought, we need to get them trending younger. I love the musical direction (it's what I wanted for Normani tbh), but I don't know if Flo shine as dancers, at least not all the members.

I feel like their positioning is closest to Destiny's Child, Danity Kane and Little Mix, who all used choreography as a major component of their style.

They were dancing before KATSEYE, no?

They were dancing before Katseye were even a thing tbh . The choreography has just stepped up with Leak It and they've naturally grown over the years as performers.

I don't think FLO are competing with KATSEYE. If anything they're saw that Girlset was trending with younger folks with a similar style of music. FLO already has an older crowd than them, but I think they saw that choreography would be a good way to market them to younger folks
