Has anyone heard it yet??

Wondering the same. Intrigued by this with it being the opening track and about her dad.

Very somber and slow open to the album. She's never opened so delicately. It's not one of my favorites tbh but it's beautiful obviously

one of my favourite slow songs on the album tbh

but there are more bops if you don't feel the song wait for the album

This is one of the ones I was saying where I don't love the disconnect between the lowkey instrumental vs. her VERY heavily processed vocals. They're just way too polished, which ruins the intimacy of the song for me.

Maybe it won't bother anyone else though

When I listened to the snippet, I did think back to that comment of yours and assumed this might be one of the culprits.

The song definitely seems to be a more pop, sweet and delicate ballad than say You Get My Love kinda ballad. It sounds a bit more made for radio but I do like the oomph on the vocals to be honest, especially for the opening tracking.

Yes that's fair - it's still a really lovely song and purposeful / natural intro into the album

The significance of the song’s subject matter is its saving grace and what ultimately justifies choosing it as the opening track.

Will she add this to the tour set list? whew

I think this will be the "Beam Me Up" or "Long Way To Happy" of the album. Too emotional to sing live, maybe once or twice if we're lucky

I agree. It will break her heart every time she sings this song.

Oh crap, I’m 11 hrs and 27 minutes away from hearing it :msmarvel:

loved the lyrics, so sweet and beautiful

Piano-backed song with nice vocals. Not my favourite but only because I cannot relate to the theme/lyrics

always amazed by her voice...it keeps getting better and better

beautiful

First listen was cute. 10 listens later? I’m getting emotional. :'(

Another 5-6 years wait between BT and this? Nah. Hurts 2B A P!nk Stan kept the cravings at bay during the wait between albums.
