Her first single Getting Late was so good. It was a whole ass moment for amapiano. Dont know why they took long to launch her and follow that up. Maybe the pandemic did get in the way

She signed after “Getting Late” went viral (and Epic re-released it).  To be fair…this (“Been Thinking”) is the first real push she’s gotten.  
 

“To Last” was just a “gift to the fans” for waiting it seems.  She was in artist development + figuring out her sound before then.

Nah.  She signed during pandemic.  I think they were just working on her sound + performance acumen, etc. 

 

She literally was just recording music in her bedroom with “Getting Late” lol, so she needed some polishing. 
 

Based on the Chris Brown footage, it was worth the wait…b/c she’s sounding, looking, and dancing really good now.
