I think you missed YEARS.

While Shine was their biggest song in Korea.

Dr Bebe was knowing a reversal on the charts when cube decided to stop the promotion for the song to promote Shower Of Rain (Like imagine I-DLE last year seeing My Bag and Tomboy smashing but cube decide to scrap all the promotion and decide to make them promote Villain Dies Instead). The album ended selling quite good. Both We:Th (which has Daisy as title track aka their biggest song since Shine), and Love or Take (released in 2020 & 2021) were their biggest album in Korea while Invite:U was their biggest album internationally.

 

Their popularity is kind there, but the problem is their fanbase isn't made of typical Kpop fans especially in Korea...

 

Now the bigger issue is how PENTAGON will handle survival shows, promoting overseas with how they keep getting booked in all kind of shows all over Europe and promote their album.

Looking like a true 4th gen IT girl. Idk how she manages to have that energy and positivity despite being so hated everyday, doing a thousand different gigs everywhere, losing so much weight and sleep etc etc. But girlie still does it.

Also wanted to and say how XG is making me realize how much the girl crush music also needs a beautiful melody to truly be a great song, no matter how much ra ra ra ta ta ta you do with the hardest-hitting beats, the importance of finding that driving melody and balance is really significant. I’m glad they’ve got it down.

After like was like the first 4th gen to chart on Spotify US. everyone was hyping them but as soon NJ debuted people act they’re shelved as if they dont have two songs in the the top 10. After like had more digital points on its 6 weeks but people be like PAK this PAK that.  
IVE need to promote their b-sides. Dear Cupid and royals were wasted.

It's Tiktok and they barely use any other hit or viral challenge song on their channel just LOVE DIVE / After LIKE for all these past months  

Isn't that popular Korean Tiktok channel dancekang under Starship management too, they could learn a thing or two with them

Chris Lee is LSM's nephew (and SNSD Sunny's cousin) and the current CEO.

 

There's been a power struggle within SM for a while and I think the board wants to get rid of LSM because of his dodgy contracts and tax evasion etc. They recently terminated some of his production contracts and his controlling shares are in the process of being sold since 2021. HYBE, CJ E&M, Naver and Kakao publicly revealed that they were bidding for his shares. But they all dropped out except for Kakao (and maybe Naver) who are still in the running.

 

Word on the street is, HYBE etc. walked away because LSM is insisting that he remains creative director of SM and this is also holding up the Kakao purchase. The board wants him out and gone for good it seems. This is probably part of why they are moving to a division structure too, so that his "creative director" role becomes unneeded.

Lee Soman being persistent in not giving up his position says a lot  wouldn't be surprised if Naver actually end up getting his shares either, haven't they been bidding for a long time now?? 

 

What are people's opinions on Chris Lee setting an agenda for 2023? Will it all be fulfilled or is it just to hype the investors up?

Yup they are so lazy and never think outside the box. I remember anytime MX would do something different or some trend on TikTok it would get good engagements but that's very rare. 

You need to keep these young kids engaged and entertained by doing something new and different. 

 

Starship usually has great music but they really lack in some other areas unfortunatelly.
