Thoughts on crossfit?

Featured Replies

I'm fit but in the last couple of months I haven't had the time/motivation to go to the gym and I'm thinking of signing up for a group activity that I'll be 'forced' to go to regularly in 2023.

I don't love endurance training but I've only heard great things about Crossfit and I'm thinking of giving it a try next week, I'm curious to see if Atrl is into that? Do you believe that it's a cult? Do you enjoy the anti-Crossfit memes? Or do you do Crossfit yourself?

I love it. I do CrossFit 5 times a week. Been doing it for 5 years now. Make sure you find the right box that has a good onboarding process. A lot of people think because they are fit they can jump right into CrossFit. It takes time because of the Olympic lifts and cardio/gymnastic skills we do.

It is kinda a cult but in a kinda good way. You end up being friends with the people in your class which was surprising to me cause i use to be a loner. People tend to always go at the same time each day so you see each other a lot.

make sure you start off for the first few months doing the scaled version of the workout and build yourself up to rx.

It's very effective but it's so f*cking expensive. :biblio:

would love to. i love group workout classes and it’s my preference for exercise. there’s no where particularly convenient for me tho and it’s extra expensive in london.
