I discovered this song cuz I heard that it has icon Martha Wash's booming vocals on it as backing vocals, what an honor :wanda:. You can really hear the powerful vocals from 3:38 to 4:08 in this video

 

 

 

Considering the "It's Raining Men" singers The Weather Girls have backing vocals here, I'm sure Izora Armstead's voice is on here too. Timestamps would be great.

 

The song is a groovy bop, but this is Rebbie's only hit. It is written and produced solely by Michael Jackson, who also provided backing vocals. She had the Jackson name to help her, but wbk that it's not easy for popgirls to debut in their 30s, and Rebbie debuted at 34. The only other "mature" popgirl I can even think of is vocal powerhouse Anastacia, but unlike Rebbie, she lied about her age and had several eras of hits outside of the US
