Can Kesha return?

Featured Replies

She kind-of managed to do so in 2017 with Praying and Rainbow but fell off again shortly afterwards (she got a Grammy nomination tho!).

But if she wants to, does the „Till The World Ends (the Femme Fatale Remix)“ songstress have it in her to snatch another hit era? Or is the GP completely uninterested in her? What choices should she make if she wanted to smash again?

I donno about snatching a hit, but I hope she releases another good album like Rainbow again. By far her best and then High Road was... :emofish:

She’s fine where she’s at now. She’s had her time as the it girl, but she’s doing well as an indie pop girl and I really am liking her style right now.

I think her days of being a major recording artist are over. She DID manage to really set herself apart from the electro pop party girl thing with Rainbow though and thanks to that album I believe she will have a positive legacy and will be able to tour modestly for years to come. She overcame being an early 2010s fad into a more respected artist. So that is worth a lot. She may be flopping with new music but it's not fair to consider her a flash in the pan either.

i mean, having a hit can only sustain one for that long. i think if her money runs low she might try more commercial leaning songs like timber but i wouldn't mind her to release more indie inspired pop music. there were a few songs on high road i liked. however i dont think that album was executed properly. if she returns she better come back with a vision and good music

I think she can follow Carly Rae Jepsen/Charli XCX career path and build a small loyal fanbase for herself with the right songs.

why are the katy stans obsessed with kesha today

I was just wondering after the new thread whether Kesha could make a comeback since everyone is concerned about that for Katy. and since no one has bothered to make this thread so far I thought it should be done :giraffe:

I don't see it, but as long as she releases good music i.e. not High Road she'll be fine with her supportive fanbase

Comeback, from…..?

She was never that big to begin with. Even when TiK ToK was big, nobody knew who she was. It was a faceless hit.

She prolly won't be again where she was with Tik Tok or Die Young, but I can see her do well like Charli XCX or Rina

That's not true, she had a string of hits with TiK ToK, My Love Is Your Drug, Take It Off, Blah Blah Blah, My First Kiss, Blow, and to a lesser extent Die Young

She was one of the IT girls in music for a hot second, especially in America.

Rainbow and Praying was a huge comeback for her - she basically was on par with Katy Perry that year

Praying - #22 peak (#67 year end)
CTTR - #4 peak (#73 year end)

Billboard 200 Year End

#91 - Witness

#115 - Rainbow

I don't think she'll have the same comeback but she could continue to debut cute top 10 numbers like Avril

You’re so delusional :bibliahh: she was the IT girl of the early 10s plus Praying was a decent hit and Rainbow gave her a lot of respect. And she's always been one of the best SONGWRITERS. not many people can say that about their faves

Only if she goes back to being Ke$ha and releasing party music.

Rainbow was extremely boring and High Road had like 2 decent songs (Birthday Suit and Kinky).

K bye for now, Sunshine. <3

It’s really sad that she couldn’t get another hit post Praying since she deserves it but her music now just isn’t it

i dont think she can get another one but i also dont think she needs it

shes haping making the music shes making for her fans and im happy with it too so thats all i can ask for

She’s already done the same. All 3 are Queens

Kesha wasnt faceless. She maybe didn’t have the best reputation, but she wasn’t faceless. Everyone knew who Kesha was!
