Same. I often read ATRLers shading Gomez by saying there's only one famous Selena but I have never ever heard of Selena Quintanilla in my life, no disrespect to her. I guess she was not famous where I live.

but Selena Quintanilla is 100% unknown in my country, Brazil. Literally i've never met a single person who knows who she is (doesn't matter the age, it can be 15 it can be 45) and i probably only know who she is cuz i'm a Selenator and that made me search about her. When i talk about the movie or her death everyone is like ??? and when i say that some songs that mentions "Selena" are not talking about "Gomez" they're always ??? too.

 

and since she's so completely unknown here that makes me wonder if she's not famous only on the United States and not on Latin America countries... 

brazil speaks portuguese, not spanish, but it's weird how 100% unknown she is.
