I low key want Photoshop but 40+ euros for one month is outrageous.

I was forced to get the whole Adobe selection in school and even the student discount was overpriced.

Adobe is currently under investigation for scamming people. I remember we had students shared account and they raised its price randomly. I think now they have a cancelation fee that they don't like to mention 

 

 

I remember now, they have a monthly subscription that is actually a yearly commitment that you can't cancel without paying a fee

Yes from personal experience if you want to cancel your Adobe subscription before 12 months have passed, you have to pay a fine. 

They've also triple dipped into AI image creation features which is very controversial because unless you trained an AI with your own creations then it literally steals from other artists across the web.

Yeah, good thing I'm pretty careful with things like these... I saw "20€ per month" and when I clicked it it turned to actually be a an entire year long thing.

A bunch of my classmates tried to make our university reimburse the cancellation fees since we were required to get the software for the program. 
 

They were like, best we can do is nothing at all. 

 

ironically, the school did cover the full costs of screenwriting software which we have permanent access to.
