I am so lucky to have witnessed her rise to fame since 2000. She became an icon after the Glitter In The Air's Grammy performance and she became a LEGEND when Just Give Me A Reason became a global smash in 2013.

She cemented her LEGEND status even further in August 2019 when Beautiful Trauma Tour grossed almost 400 million$.

Longevity-wise, she is one of the two female artists of her generation who is still standing (along with Beyonce).  P!nk is the definition of "Slow and Steady Win the Race"

@Liafen Her streak of hitmaking is very impressive. In Europe, Trustfall (song) went top 10 and top 20 in almost every developed European countries, 23 years into her career and it would have easily gone top 3 everywhere if she had streaming on her side. The song was in top 3 iTunes in most of Europe even FIVE months after its release week.

In the USA, where ageism is more rampant, her last hit was What About Us (2017), which was also the last period before streaming exploded in 2018.

Unsurprisingly, HTBH became her first album to not spawn a hit in the US, as well as her first album to not go Platinum because streaming had completely taken over as the main form of music consumption by 2019.

Streaming marked the death of albums' longevity on the charts for veteran artists. Her fans all bought the physical albums first week and then listen to the physical copy until forever on CD/vinyl player and it would still be just counted as one copy whereas artists with a streaming audience can have their album chart week after week after week because each stream is counted as one stream. This is very unfair for veteran artists like her because her album's chart performance doesn't reflect the album's true popularity/longevity.

And regarding why she is never as big in the USA as she is in German speaking countries: these countries (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) have a stronger history of "punk" culture than in the USA. P!nk's "punky" music as well as her image/personality appeal to these German speaking countries than the USA.

The USA prefers cookie cutter female pop stars like Britney and Taylor.
