We've been waiting for this new album the last five years. She don't know if she want to do R&B or country. LOL

Still Standing needed that Jordin Sparks "One Step At A Time" moment to get at least one song in the pop sphere, and "Taxi" was it. Should've been a bonus track (at least) as It would probably pay itself back quickly through commercials and sync placements on TV/in movies.

 

I remember watching her in the studio recording it on her TBS behind-the-scenes TV show for Still Standing, and it scratched a specific itch. It has never left my playlists.

It does have a poppy feel to it. I think Still Standing could've gone crossover as well, especially with Ludacris on the track. I still don't get why they changed their mind on it being the lead. But at least she got the sales. The album should be Platinum by now.
