While Joker's bombage is indeed disappointing, thanks to Todd… I could not be bothered about HQ not making any waves.

When did an album full of jazzy covers smash or do well in the streaming era? It's ILLOGICAL to expect it to be a streaming hit.

Harlequin is, however, an album only Gaga can execute well among MPGs. And that's why SOME of us can appreciate it.

One of my draft posts was mistakenly published. I always create these drafts before important drags, using placeholder titles and dates. I have no information about users and their mental health.

Well- the Harlequin album isn't for everyone and that's a FACT. If someone says that they don't like something then don't try to force it so hard down their throat like my ex did last night. It's a classic album but there's a reason why it flopped and yes it's a side passion project or whatever- if it was commercially done it would've done better but that's not the point. Anyway- LG7 is coming.

force ur ex to stream Harlequin as a reward

that's just wishful thinking atp

she stated during an interview last month that the goal was to promote multiple projects at once

I don't think it's wishful thinking. I think everything when it comes to release dates has to be planned well in advance. And I think she did technically promote multiple projects at once lol

In our minds, we'd be just fine

It's just insane that these fans are allowing lifeless stans on this website make them think that this side project filled with jazz covers was supposed to light up the charts. It's absolutely delusional in the sense that it's almost comical.

I don't even care for the album apart from a couple of songs, but her personality and her love for music shines throughout the entire project and that's incredibly exciting for us, because it means she's in love with music again. And that love is going to translate to the new album that will be filled with music we actually like.

again, it's all about being brainwashed into thinking that everything has to be a huge success and that's such a miserable way of living because it means you can't be happy with anything ever unless it accomplish something that is incredibly rare these days

I've actually listened to Harlequin nonstop since it came out. I've barely listened to anything else.

EDIT: I'm also low key obsessed with J: FAD and think it's a masterpiece so

why are you putting word in my mouth? ofc she has a plan no one is saying otherwise

by the time the lg7 lead comes out she won't be actively promoting jfàd or harlequin anymore thus invalidating your original comment

TBH, i think maybe Gar didn't get some good enough scripts though. Hollywood is very snobby, she got well acclaimed and huge support  for ASIB because they think it was a just a nice and casual crossover performance. When Gar turns out to be a serious actress, they turned around because it affected their interests.

I really wish I could see Gar starring in some independent art films but I don't think those directors would choose her (high remuneration and different acting style). Quentin and Spielberg are good fits for Gar though.

Hollywood is snobby but GÁR wouldn't be working alongside top talent in splashy movie roles if she was being offered crumbs and bottom drawer scripts.

The problem again is she needs to build her filmography up with a little more momentum to keep winning people over like the FAD casting director; taking a pay cut to work on a smaller indie film would be welcome if she was devoting more time outside her one big movie star swing every other year or so thing she has going on.

I agree she would be a good fit for someone like Quentin or Spielberg; auteur directors that still wield big budgets and love populism and screen dominating movie stars.

Some of us can still listen to Harlequin and enjoy it while we wait, it's maximum 10 days, those who can't are suffering more than us harlequin enjoeyers.

Ga Ga already has the billion dollars film TGM under her credit, but I guess another one under her acting credit won't hurt

We're waiting for a disappointment and people crying over an alleged leak. I can see some people cry about it once the album is released calling it "the hit that got away".

In my mind, I like to think that she saw a rough edit of the film and realized over the summer that it wasn't going to turn out like she planned. Given the fact that she had already made Harlequin / had the vinyl pressed at the point though, the idea of just dropping it and quickly moving on to LG7 seemed like the best course of action.

However, I do believe she still passionately loves that album and hopes to use the LG7 lead to get her back in the GP's good graces / make them forget about JFAD and then around the holidays, using that time to release the Harlequin live performances as a Christmas treat since jazz music sort of inherently feels very festive / Christmas-y so it might play better getting a re-peak of sorts at that time. Then, the Christmas freeze ends and we move back into promoting LG7's release in February and that's her version of promoting multiple projects at once. :chick3:

JFAD flopped because Todd, instead of giving the action-crazy-spectacular film that fans wanted, he gave a boring courtroom-musical.

HQ flopped because Gaga, instead of giving the punk-rock album that some fans were hopping for (given the aesthetics and the Harley Queen persona), she gave a jazz-influenced album (very good tho, but not what people wanted).

That's what happens when you don't give people what they want.

I hope Gaga learns the lesson from this: that sometimes, it's important to leave the fans satisfied.

Sure she can explore her artistry, and release Jazz albums or HAC ballads. But she CAN'T forget in the mid time, to release what her fans truly want: POP music, with proper PROMO.

I'm praying for Gaga to give us what we want with LG7 era, after 4 years of waiting and after the Chromatica fiasco (era-wise). Otherwise, she will lose a big part, of the ramains of her fanbase.

Genuinely think she doesn't care much about Harlequin selling poorly. The fact is that this album will likely be a bulk of her new jazz show in Vegas. Love For Sale sold similarly and had 100 times the variants. Its an album of covers that got a surprise release and a single song got some playlisting. She produced the album on her own with Michael and the physical variants didn't even arrive to US stores until this week. This entire read on her career rn gives that you came from the Grace Randolph school of economics, where people are suddenly too dumb to understand nuance. The last time she tried to give people "exactly what they want" with Chromatica, a bulk of this fanbase called it terrible and said she should retire.

She can play coy and act like she's about to join scientology and then right when he signs the contract for her to be in the movie she can act like she never agreed to that. Genius move tbh ezgif-4-37aead5351b5.thumb.gif.b5217b975
