At the end of the day, I'll still bop to Chromatica and get pumped for Joker. On the other hand, I understand why some are really bothered by it (especially if they have any personal experience with healthcare affordability issues, it can be very emotionally charged.) I have a hard time believing many of the Gaga fans mad are mad because of some moral dilemma they are having about this, but that is not something that can be proved at the end of the day. I would have more pause if we were not aware of the actual pain she endures on a daily basis because of her chronic pain, but I believe she probably does use this medication or something like it so at least it is "genuine" in that way. When I see people like Taylor partnering with Capital One to convince her fans to go into massive amounts of debt to come to her shows, or Beyonce taking blood money from LGBTQ-killing elite, I feel like this is just par for the course for these girls. They are not going to turn down the millions.

Not judging her tho, I understand it's easy money for her. But see, you could make the silly argument that her Oreo partnership was immoral because snack companies rely on the obesity industrial complex to make a profit. Negative externalities are not exclusive to pharmaceuticals, and there are positive developments and innovations taking place in pharmaceuticals. Migraine pills are not something to get worked up over, at least not enough to peg her a "pharma shill". Getting migraine pills when she's given no music is what we should actually get worked up over. 2
Canonical Ensembl Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Trying to make the audience feels a contrast to the Harley character tomorrow, I see you Gaga. 1
DoctorIce Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Rated GagaR for strong violence, language throughout, some sexuality and brief full nudity.
Nico Robin Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Get ready for all the incels being mad at Gar not serving the over sexualized being they wanted her to be
Canonical Ensembl Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Anyway, I give Nurtec a credit for knowing promo timing better than Stingyscope.

Getting migraine pills when she's given no music is what we should actually get worked up over. I agree, I think you're right, one could find fault with every little thing she does. Me personally as her number 1 fan (as most here are), I'd rather she partnered with not-so-problematic companies, because it makes my stanning easier, but obviously it's up to her and we'll support her regardless. Now I'm sure you can see, based on the general mainstream reaction to her post, that this is a very controversial industry, and so it's naturally a controversial partnership, and the controversy is not going to be assuaged by going "actuaaallyy this particular pharma company she partnered with is not really the problematic one" or "the problem of pharma companies is actually a systemic issue". we both know surface level discussions and headlines don't care for nuance, but these surface level discussions do in fact affect her reputation and legacy. I trust she believes in this partnership, but I'm not looking forward to the narratives that will be spun surrounding it. 1

lgaga1fan Posted April 8 Posted April 8 LG7 lookin like a fall release unless she's going for July at this rate. That's fine tbh. An album release to coincide with Joker would be mega cunty actually.

A lot of criticism that she's received comes from the fact she's taking money from an industry that either needlessly bankrupts people or needlessly withholds healthcare that is affordable in just about every other country on Earth.
