Chromatica in a perfect world:

lead single: Alice/Stupid Love

2nd single: Rain On Me

3rd single: Free Woman

4th single: Sour Candy (mv w/ blackpink)

5h single: 911 (flop marry the night'd single with amazing mv to close the era)

the album could be at 3.5B or close to 4B streams on spotify by now

911 is a great video but there's 2 things that hinder it from being excellent like her tfm era videos:

- for some reason the video starts to decline in quality in terms of cinematography towards the end of the song. the first scene (when chromatica ii is playing) is so beautiful and looks straight out of a movie but the end of 911 and when chromatica iii is playing feels so cheap, almost like a parody and idk what it is (some scenes didn't require the green wig imo)

- the fact that she had to explain all the symbolism and analogies by the end of the video going through every character involved in the accident :rip: i just don't like when the artist treats the public like they're stupid and who cares if they didn't get it, the mystery is what made bad romance so great in the first place

I think Bowie came around at the end tho they never did meet. Iirc Gar has a framed letter from him hanging on her wall. Such a shame he never embraced her, as they're 2 of my favorite music artists ever. The truly pressed one was Prince, but it seems that when Gar was summoning Joanne's spirit in 2016, she took his ass to the gr4ve back with her chi

Back in 2003, he was diagnosed with liver cancer, spent years disappearing from the public view to cure it but of course, he still managed to put out his last 2 studio albums, The Next Day (2013) and blackstar (2016). The concept of these albums are all about death. He knew he couldn't survive it.

He was nice, kind, very knowledgeable, humble, and funny. Thank you Gaga for introducing your fav to me.

I remember Gaga writing an invitation to ask if he would like to sing a song with her and gave him a cake. Unfortunately, he turned down but took the cake (oh you old man 🤣) and wrote a feedback saying something like thank you for your cake but I was busy .... blah blah blah something something.

About Prince, please, he hated everyone 🤣

I like the 911 video but the scene in the chapel (especially around 3:20) is just too cheesy for me. I think it's where the "explaining" started to bash you over the head before the end bit.

Same, so many people praise this video and I applaud Ga for the big swing, but when she starts screaming at the end and the whole end scene are so cringe to me. She used to never explain the art and let it speak for itself.

Only part in Gaga's videography that makes me cringe is the "I'm gonna be a star" hospital scene in MTN

Interscope became the most complacent label since the streaming era started, they will be fighting with Gaga to let DWAS carry the album

Spoiler

Nose better announce this album next week. I just told some of my friends during dinner to keep an eye on Gar's Instagram page on Monday because she's likely going to announce her new album then. I can't be had as a fool, not this early in the year! :rogue:

The Golden Globes is tomorrow. We could have something to follow while waiting for LG7, but f*ck Todd Syphilis for ruining Gaga's chances.

She needs release now we all know someone is coming any moment now to do a surprise release for an early 1st quarter take over. It might be Taylor with reputation tv, xtina, or dua lipa.

totally. The ending felt like it was a shot form a poorly made film in the early 2000s. I still rank 911 as being one of her best videos due to how well it was shot, the cinematography was beautiful but that ending really ruined its full potential. Sometimes living in the abstract and not having EVERYONE understand is better than overexplaining yourself to make sure everyone gets it...especially for a song that she knew wasnt going to be a single or anything....like this is the chance u get to just do something hyper creative without fearing ppl will understand or not. It gets back to Gaga's post Artpop flop trauma. She now has an instinct to overexplain herself and to live in the obvious. The first chance she got to make something more akin to her older work she felt the need to fumble the ending for the sake of making sure everyone understood her. She's been in that state for a LONG while but i am hoping she'll move on...tho her last minute addition of DWAS to LG7 for SHEER commercial reasons (and dont even try to say its not because of that) is making me lose hope that she'll ever be able to get herself back up by the bootstraps and stop fearing being controversial, high brow or misunderstood again. That part of Gaga has seemingly died imo....but who knows.

I felt so bad for laughing at this but then I remembered Prince was abusive so it's all good. OGHs stay losing.
