They should find a way to compete with DWAS or this big single will ruin entire LG7 era singles with its insane longevity. They need to find a way to make them both exist. Hot take: I agree. I'm here for another collab/feature too.

I think the release date was horrible and I think she could've gone harder week 1 rather than spreading it out so long, but besides that I am really into all the content we got for disease between the video, rolling stone interview dissecting the song, all the tiktoks, alt versions, and the song itself. it's kinda the most content we got from a Gaga single since shallow, or million reasons if we are sticking to studio album singles She should have released it with the video and with physicals. Going for longevity is NOT the move when the Christmas Freeze is so close. I know what she was going for but it was ill-timed. 5

No music video during release day No physicals, lead single merch on release day/week She didnt post about it until people freaked out about music video. No performances or any appearances No interviews about the song. 7

Like i'm very serious or DWAS will kill entire singles of this era, i hope they realized that already. I dont want LG7 era that we waited for 5 years to remain hitless other than bruno mars droplet. Sorry not sorry these are facts. 1
Denim Posted Friday at 09:31 PM Posted Friday at 09:31 PM The team was kinda put in a bad spot for disease's release date tbh. you can't release it in September because die with a smile just came out and is blowing up, you can't release it at the start of October because of joker 2, you can't release it in November/December because Christmas freeze, you can't wait until January because fans are expecting new music and you promised it back in the summer maybe they should've never committed to LG7 lead in October, but I'm quite happy that we got disease when we did. I think 1 week early, October 18th should've been the move, but that's like super specific and close enough to what they did. I say it was the right release date but they should definitely move on to single #2 ASAP and push harder the first week than they did for disease 7

I remember someone did some rough math and had she sold physicals with a video on release day, it probably would've debuted in the lower half of the top 10. But anyways, onto greater things

Chart position will never change my mind. But yeah this era is in danger because of DWAS, they should use and try every single trick and find a way to make next single co exists along with DWAS.
ROARyals Posted Friday at 09:36 PM Posted Friday at 09:36 PM Dance in the Shadow as a snippet is so forgettable right now. It sounds promising but it also seems like it gives us nothing atm Feels like every other snippet gave us a good taste of the rest of its song, and we love what we hear 1 1

That I definitely will agree with feels mismanaged if I put my manager hat on It couldn't have been bigger tbh. It was coming off a big hit, and has shown a bit of longevity, but it just wasn't what people wanted. 1
Vroom Vroom Posted Friday at 09:37 PM Posted Friday at 09:37 PM Gaga's going to get 4 collab #1s this year. Yep yep 1 with Bruno, 1 with The Weeknd, 1 with Chap and 1 with Taylor on reputation tv 13

Erotic Posted Friday at 09:46 PM Posted Friday at 09:46 PM Unpopular opinion but a Gaga and Morgan Wallen collab would SLAP, with their raspy Dope'd vocals, the MAGA crowd would eat it up like they do at the Golden Corral buffet, and it would become the biggest song in USA history I don't care, arrest me Russia!!! 2 5
MadMax12 Posted Friday at 09:47 PM Posted Friday at 09:47 PM Disease showed that Gaga needs to build hype and anticipation for singles. The fact she is still silent about the whole album is concerning 2

Gar was truly lost in a weed & Taylor Kinney induced haze back then. There's no other explanation for such a tasteless decision, I fear didn't Taylor and Gaga split like 3 months before the release of Joanne

Sorry to say this monsterz but It's not catchy enough when you compare it to the rest of her catalogue. "lay you down like 123" washes the entirety of Stupid Noise and that debuted at #5 1

But obviously they were having troubles before then & were likely broken up before she even posted that. So my point still stands, especially as she was mastering Joanne literally up until the 11:59pm deadline as we saw in 5F2

In an interview a member of Interscope said that they wanted LG7 to be similar to Billie's recent rollout. I'm starting to think Die With A Smile was supposed to be her What Was I Made For. But JFAD bombing changed everything 2 1
