But why would Dua be a threat? If Capitol can push the song as much as Warner, there is no problem. It's not like ppl are eagerly waiting for Dua's new material.  Her songs will be picked up by Spotify playlists and radio whether they are good or not and ppl will listen to them whether they like it or not.  But there is no real demand. That is why in her peek she barely managed to cross 100M with her tour. She even performed at a lot of festivals which is not typical for huge pop stars.

 

If Capitol can snatch the top 10 placements on relevant Spotify playlists for Katy just as Warner will do for Dua, let the best song win.  

Honestly, all I want is a single that can go top 10/15 and sticks around for a while, at this point, is that too much to ask?
