SoundsandSongs Posted March 16 Posted March 16 My prediction: 400k US I expect better numbers than Renaissance worldwide given how global Texas is.

Starshine Posted March 16 Posted March 16 (edited) Bey had like 130k from streaming at her weakest with Renaissance, but 200k in pure sales with a longer preorder timeframe. I know Bey has the millennials/aunties on her side that refuse to transition to streaming, I think she can still pull 200k pure at the least due to how much more talked about CC is than Rennie. The Trumpies WILL be tuning in out of curiosity and word of mouth with travel faster than Nicki at a buffet. Maybe 150k stream-equivalent and 200k pure = 350k Make the cover cvnty and it'll be 400k. That’s why I’m keeping my expectations low. They aren’t going to push the album beyond the cover reveal.

Gonna be cautious with it for now. @Starshine’s breakdown is a pretty comprehensive and realistic take on things. What sis has gained in streaming traction, she arguably doesn’t have (yet) with the pace of preorders (which wouldn’t have been an issue with a longer preorder frame). It’s also a little hard to gage. Because there are definitely Hive who have been vocal about sitting out the era because of the genre (I personally know a few). Yet, the GP gains thanks to Texas should fill in that gap. Theoretically. Gag worthy collabs with huge streamers could up the ante, as could having another Cuff If moment out of the gate. But personally like to work with what we know we have and also how she tends to operate with collabs these days (art not charts) Before release though, the truest indication of the album’s potential will be when she posts the cover across her socials and plugs the preorder. At the moment, the preorders are from us die hard stans and those plugged into her broader online presence (Parkwood and Shop Beyonce pages).

Starshine Posted March 16 Posted March 16 (edited) 250k is the worst case scenario I think. 130k from streaming is pretty much on lock if Renaissance pulled that after stagnant streaming growth and her Wakanda forever image for half a decade. The Hive and some obsessed Liddos were the main ones streaming that album. And I'm sawry the American GP did not care, they absolutely did not because it was a House album. They didn't even care for it until Cuff Hit smashed on TikTok and gave it legs. CC will fare better on streaming and have larger GP support. And we don't have to worry about the Hive dropping CC due to it being country because we'd still tune into Bey queefing on a folk track regardless, it WILL be quality. The genre does not matter. The only uncertainty are the pure sales. She could at the least pull 100k pure, Ariana is doing 70k and she has a way less dedicated fanbase and has uglee covers. Vinyl sales will be fine, CD sales is where the uncertainty is. The Hive were operating on hype.. it was a brand new era after 6 years. We all rushed to buy and some ended up disappointed with the pose boxes, some reported crumbs in theirs, now we have hindsight regarding the quality upon arrival. I think the GP will do more heavy lifting this era. But we do know Rennie vinyls: 33k first week CC vinyls: 50k as of right now (?) So it's looking up. I think it'll end up looking more like 150-170K streaming with her having a larger presence today than 2022. And I'm gonna keep it very conservative with 150k pure. She's always manages to outdo expectations, I want the shock of a lifetime. 250k pure alone is not impossible for her. Edited March 16 by Starshine 3 1 1
Havoc Posted March 16 Posted March 16 (edited) 45 minutes ago, sillycilla said: The set up and delusions. 275k This makes no sense. Why would she have her lowest first week sales with a smash #1 hit as a lead? You are underestimating the power and hype a BEYONCE album brings. There will be a Cuff It-esque hit on the album that will go viral almost immediately. Mark my words. Edited March 16 by Havoc
