Considering Lemonade film was kind of flopped on HBO, Renaissance film was a huge success since she's probably earned more than its budget. Renaissance also had hits and longevity on charts.

It "flopped" because HBO was exclusive to the US back then and the only proper streaming service was Netflix. :michael:

Her getting the film name wrong and it just being a notes app screenshot makes it ten times worse. @Beyonce, FIRE HER!

I just don't get this exclusivity thing and her messy rollout. REN film was released on later dates in certain countries as well.

Beyoncé: A Film By Beyoncé :dies: this woman.

self-titled coming to an AMC near you inshallah

Ch... How does she not know the name of the movie? And why adress that? Does that mean no streaming?

I'm getting the impression that Parkwood are not pleased with the box office numbers for this film. Yvette's sudden response about something not even really offensive seems a bit much.  After this reponse, it's also pretty clear Bey is not sending this film to streaming. I think she will keep it a unique experience. The numbers to me seem fine for this time of year especially for a documentary because people knew from the trailers it would be heavy with behind the scenes stuff and that didn't excite many clearly. I still think if she released the entire concert with no editing it would have done better numbers. This documentary should have been sent to Netflix and included the visuals and behind the tour stuff about how the album came to be.

Who thought that this was playing on Roku?

I really hope they put the film on streaming after its run its course cause the thought itll have a lasting impression on people is foolish. They will forget it ever existed 1 month after its done.

This Prince approach is really not giving - theres a reason his discography is forgotten af compared to his 80s peers

If they don't release the film, with already delayed visual and trilogy album concept, I'll have to turn in my Stan card for a Casual card because. . .GWIL!

She can't be looking at the numbers dismayed because you don't do anything for promotional reasons. The numbers look great to me considering most of the promotion was online ads, where most ppl who see the ads are already interested in Beyoncé- not so much the film.

This is her BEST film TO DATE! It NEEDS to be on any streaming service she can land. I understand putting the film on Roku directly is low balling, but literally NO-ONE was looking for that. I haven't even seen anything about that. Again, Netflix, Prime, Paramount- There's too many to choose from to add to streaming because of not liking something. . .again (allegedly)!

I feel they only had that reaction because they don't want fans to wait on a streaming release, in lieu of seeing it at the cinemas. I still think it will be available after it's cinema run. Would be foolish not to.

Also, saw the film today, with a straight friend (who is a massive movie buff) and his words at the end were "wow that was mind blowing that absolutely slapped". Before the film he said, "is sweet dreams in it? That song goes hard" all I could do was laugh :skull:. He also really loved Cozy and Energy and was in awe at the editing in Diva/RTW. He had no idea about the mute challenge and was like, "wait is that real or just for the film that was insane?"
He gave it a top score on his letterboxd account which is pretty impressive considering he only knew like 4 songs. :gaycat6:

Anyway, that was my fourth and final showing. All that comes to mind to summarise is legend.

It popped up on Roku’s search today and went viral.

Obviously this is coming to video on demand for rental after the AMC deal ends in January, but the box office is down 85% this weekend so they would much rather say it’s not “coming to Roku” to drive people to the cinemas than explain that it’s eventually coming out.

Saw the movie yesterday. Absolutely loved. Thought it was a little long though, would've liked more BTS footage.

But this usually happen to movies released word wide. Some platforms will display them but never have them. Roku, YouTube and Google TV display movies going back to the 80's that will show up as unavailable because they don't have licensing to stream or rights to sell. It says the same thing for "LEMONADE" and redirects you to stream "BLACK IS KING"

Her team should know and never should've responded to this.

Well they need to put her on the white radio because that radio won't get her the streams we need.

Their audience mostly listens to Hip Hop lol

I went to see it again with friends that are casual fans. They liked it, but the length was their complaint as well. A nearly 3 hour runtime is a lot to ask of casual audiences and I suspect it's turning some people off from going at all.

Hopefully is does good numbers in Brazil. The film is just for stans/fans. She doesn’t perform hits the gp wants to see.
