I'm so glad this photo exists. Like it truly shows the war that's been going on between our two bases are purely our own construct...

Can we just accept that both artists bring their A game and are both very talented?

- I also thought that picture was AI at first.

- Bey has the NERVE to bring back the half up-half down when she couldn't do that for 55 shows out of the 56!

- Bey looks so young and edgy in this look!

Taylor makes a post on Instagram with Beyoncé:

https://www.instagram.com/reel/CySi6aqO07D/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

"I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence. The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale. 😇🙏🥹"

Well maybe she indeed earned a stream with this

That neck cut on Bey is ***chefs kiss***

Someone needs to talk to her about these sunglasses though lol at least she didn’t go in a face kini

Ch... At the theories and posts here.

Beyoncé likes the people that came before her, her peers and the people that came after her. She has always gone out of her way to show love. Those two women are on tour right now, they will both release their films why not go celebrate another successful woman doing something grand. That's where it stops.

that’s certainly not where it stops when it comes to two most calculating artists in this day and age & let’s not act like this is normal behavior for 2020’s Bey :rip:

that woman does not just go to anyone’s movie premiere let alone walk a red carpet, she barely even goes to her own :deadbanana4:

this is most definitely deeper than her just going to support another woman in the business, be it a Barbenheimer style move to push both films or the teasing of a future collab

Thank you!

Resisting the urge to harp on too much, but this is definitely calculated af and I'm living for it.

All involved are incentivized to play ball.

Both ladies come out looking like pro-woman, above the fray, and better together.

AMC is smiling with the convergence of their big acquisitions and streamer-threatening model.

Bey gets the promo rub (as this **will** be headline news) and her appearance will mandate mentions of her film too. More tickets hopefully sold.

Then there's Taylor...

Despite doing **zero** for me musically, she is probably one of the most marketing/brand-aware acts I've ever seen in a long time. This Bey link-up literally gives her a **cultural** promo rub, has her level of stardom amplified by a legend like Bey standing next to her/supporting her...and kind of lets her bask in her commercial dominance sans the noise from both fanbases.

What's more, in Taylor being aware, I actually get the sense that she (way more than her often obtuse fanbase) recognizes the realities of what makes her "bigger" than Bey from a numbers perspective. Namely her Becky/Middle America appeal. It's nothing (at all) to be guilty about, but her giving Bey her flowers in that way...to me...felt like a coded acknowledgment of that.

Beyond Bey coming before the likes of Taylor and Adele, there's a very specific reason they go up for her iMO. Being "in" and "of" the industry, it's crystal clear they are all in awe of Bey. Not just from a longevity standpoint, but her literal output. The totality of her offering. The music, the choreo, the vision, the innovation. Yet, I'm sure they pair this knowledge with the understanding that, as a Black woman, Bey will never ever get the flowers or numbers they will by default. Bey could summon a real UFO for the Alien Superstar video and the industry will still deem Taylor "better".

So, it's always been wild to me that bases such as TS' rush to blanket comparisons when their own fave seems switched on the layered nature of the matter.

But I guess this is a moment for celebration than continued debate.

I’d like to think that Tayleisha has enough respect and admiration for Beyoncé (hence the IG post on the day of her own premiere) to make sure her fans stop talking ****.

There’s also likely the AMC obligation and the promo opportunities and their overwhelming strategic minds, but I also think Taylor has her ear to the ground a LOT and used this as an opportunity to squash the comparisons without asking people to stop the comparisons.

all of this !!! i don’t care about her as an artist nor as a person but the two biggest musical titans in today’s pop culture coming together is kinda a gag like :mazen:

not Tayleisha :gaycatx:but all of this too, she’s always given Bey her flowers which is a respectable thing to do on her part

But seriously, I can’t help but to think that Taylor posting that was not “innocent”. They might actually collaborate somehow :WAP:

There was this user that claimed that the visuals have an unexpected cameo a couple a weeks ago. I really thought it would be Taylor. We'll see. If act ii is country, there is another possibility or maybe even next Taylor's album. I'm sure they both wanna collaborate. It would bring them money, but I'm pretty sure that Bey collaboration was on Taylor's bucket list for a really long time

I’m dead at Swifties/non-Hive users thinking this “stopped” a stan war that was one-sided to begin with. :rip:

Let alone wbk Taylor always supported Bey and vice versa; she openly admits Beys dynamic career moves influenced her work. Cute pic but this is not new information.

I was 80% sure this photo was ai but her cheesy smile and those sunglasses helped me confirm this was real. They both look so good, great gowns beautiful gowns!:jonny5:

IASF: The Italian mom bump it.
ST: The washed-out blonde Bob.

Renaissance: The endless supply of sunglasses and that goofy ass smile.

I really don't think Beyoncé is that calculated.

They are both breaking records with their tour right now, both will launch a tour in theaters through AMC. It seems like a good occasion to show support to a fellow artist. She also sent her flowers for AOTY. It shows camaraderie.

Taylor has also been talking about how much Bey has and is influenced/ing her for the last years.

But I can definitely be wrong.

I think its somewhere down the middle.

I think Beyoncé does want to support another woman doing the same thing she's about to do. It shows respect and sharing of achievement and sisterhood, especially for an artist whose (perhaps) first major pop culture moment went hand-in-hand with Beyoncé. The support was there, and still is there, even through so much achievement on both sides.

But I also think she knows that it can in part quell comparisons (if she is at all in tuned to online stan discussion) but more importantly, serve as easy non-promo. Beyoncé absolutely understands the power of her appearances, thus why she's scaled them back to much. She has to think that her attending will bring its own spotlight onto her project, not in a calculated "I'm only doing this to get my promo way" but just in a way that makes sense for both herself AND Taylor too. And the fact that she's wearing something so very RWT says something as well.

Most likely lol.. unless it’s part of AMC’s deal.

This is beyond random and when did bey arrive? It was crickets for the most part earlier.

And honestly to me the pic is awkward. Beyoncés outfit is great though.

Please, the first thing that came to my mind was that cheap spandex she looks a mess

Just read that they supposedly had dinner together too… idk beys team seems to be doing the most these past few weeks trying to appease the media and her fanbase. Yvette just posted about it to.

It’s all one sided. Beyoncé went to Taylor’s party when she was at her peak in 1989. Now she’s at her movie event when she’s at her repeak. Sure Taylor made a happy birthday video for Beyoncé a couple years ago and physically walked up to Beyoncé to say hi at the Grammys last year but she’s never been to a Beyoncé event. It feels like Beyonce knows Taylor is THE it girl and wants to be in her good graces. And I wouldn’t be shocked if Beyoncé was actually streaming midnights she has a very diverse music taste. I don’t think Taylor streamed Renaissance. Good for Taylor she has every celebrity kissing her ass now even the one we least expected.
