yeah, and it leaked because this was when they showed the footage to some high ups at universal and somebody in the room secretly filmed.

 

but oh my gosh, it looks amazing  even in this LQ video with unfinished footage it already looks like such a big budget movie. it feels so major and exciting and this isn't even an official trailer or footage meant for the public to see. she and cynthia sound amazing together and she feels so much more natural acting here than she has in previous projects. this is really gonna be such a moment and the stans who were mad she took this role and the doubters who said she couldn't pull it off are all gonna eat their words. watch this space!

OMGGGGG the wicked leak looks insane. and not just bc of ariana. everything, from the visuals to the musical scenes to the casting, looks perfect. WE WON

The leaked Wicked CinemaCon footage looks really promising.  The chemistry between her and Cynthia is palpable. Her acting performance appears very natural and subdued which was my only concern since all of her acting experience is comedy sketches, TV sitcoms, and live theater that typically requires more over-the-top and exaggerated performance. I saw a comment from a musical theater snob on the Wicked subreddit that was complaining her acting being too subdued and not expressive enough lmao, like she can't win with these people.  Obviously film acting is more subtle than live theater.  

 

Wicked has the potential to be a huge box office smash if Universal doesn't screw up the marketing campaign and if the movie delivers in terms of quality.  It's a very popular IP and has universal appeal with kids/families, women, and gays lol.  The Barbie movie being this huge box office smash shows that this demographic is under served and they will go to the movies if you give them a reason.  Wicked is giving me Frozen vibes too so we know this type of story resonates with the general audience.

It's literally about fictional characters in Savan's movie.  It's not a real song. The lyrics to True Story literally reference Fantasize because the former would be performed at a later point in the movie. Do you think Ariana was going to release a song with a bridge of going "I'm too nice, I'm too hot"?
