But this film news proves Adele lied last year when she said she was going away for "an incredibly long time." She has to do some promo for it, at least. So we get to see her related to that.

 

I still hope she's been working on A5, new album, this year.

The story is set in the 18th Century Opera world in Italy, so definitely there's gonna be some music and singing. And imagine the costume designs! Let's hope it's a significant role, not just quick cameo. If it was other pop girl, ATRL would be gagging more, but I have a feeling the general public is going to LOVE this.

Guys, I'm still thinking there's a new album. It's strange Adele herself or Adele Access did not post about her first ever movie role on any social media or her website. Maybe it means they are waiting to announce something else first. Her next post should be big anyway.

 

Also the British Vogue just posted this. Why would they post that now? If there's a new cover story coming up, and knowing the film is a year away, it may not be about that. What is she cooking?

I just want to see what happens when Adele releases a new album again. 30 sounded like a therapy album for herself. Let's hear some more universal songs next.

I know it's been a while since the release of "30" but it doesn't feel like a long time ago. Munich and the music video for IDW did THAT to me. I'm at a much happier place as a stan this time around

Yeah, I hear you. But last year I think her voice sounded its best ever, so I'd love to get it recorded now that she's still relatively young and healthy. Not getting a concert film was disappointing though.

 

At least we have 30 and 25 anniversaries coming up next week.

 

And have you heard the rumours that they want Adele to do Copacabana next year? I know the Brazil rumours have been going for years, but that would be insane if true. And if there's really negotations happening, hard to imagine her even considering it without new album.

I agree and I wish you were right about new music, sis. I just don't wanna get my hopes up so I won't be upset if nothing (as usual) happens, you know?

 

Yeah, I've heard the rumours about Adele doing the "Everyone in Rio" megashow next year. I hope it doesn't happen 'cause I would freak out and do everything to see her in person again. (I'd try to 'cause it'd be a true pandemonium!)

Yeah. Her not posting about the upcoming film has me clowning a bit, or daydreaming, ha! Otherwise you'd think she'd be gushing about it. And next week being anniversaries for the previous albums would be a good time to post about something new. Lol.

I saw the Brazil stan accounts on TwitterX and IG saying few weeks ago that after months of negotations she's signed the contract to do the festival. And not just twitter but website called ConexaoPolitica reported about the negotiation earlier this year as well. And Gaga was announced as performer in February this year. Imagine if we get album in January and Rio announcement in Feb.

Yes! Other fans on Twitter have also started to wonder why Adele isn't posting about the film.

 

I'm actually scared of what she's gonna post next. If it's a new music era announcement, I might cry. Lol.

We have the 10 years of "25" anniversary coming up next week on Thursday. Adele Access will almost certainly post about it. They posted about Hello. Not sure if Adele herself will.

 

And I'm thinking that if there is a new album, it might be cute to announce the new era next week. Although that's just my speculation. Lol. But there's also the "30" anniversary the day before on Wednesday. So it's gonna be a big week for Daydreamers anyway.

If there *is* a new album coming, I honestly think the best strategy for her is to be like "I've been working on my new album" and tease a little bit, rather than playing coy and saying she's going away for a long time just be like "surprise!"

 

Adele doesn't have a huge fanbase and relies on the GP. Obviously she's a behemoth and will be just fine in the sales department regardless, but let's not act like 30's first week wasn't a 75% decrease from 25. She'd probably benefit from generating some hype, which there isn't any right now because she straight up told us not to expect anything.
