If they were smart then it would have a short run in theatres with a steaming deal in place so it can be released to streaming in July. 
that way she could budge some of those unsold (expensive) tickets…

To be fair, I think late 2021 was a bad time to release an album. The daily Covid cases in the US skyrocketed right after 30 release (https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/#graph-cases-daily). And that deffo contributed to the Vegas disaster few months later.

 

So you can imagine people, especially older people, being afraid of going to public places to buy anything, let alone a record. And that's Adele's main audience really. And you bet many of the casual listeners would not bother to buy it online.

 

I can understand why 30 is not streaming better, but it's the lack of pure sales that was always so weird to me. Covid must have been one factor in it.

Vegas was supposed to happen in early 2022, in support of the 30 album. Idk but I find it hard to believe that she's going to launch another residency without releasing a new record.

Oh she’s defiantly taking a break but that’s up to her when she decides to come back. 
But she said the last break did more harm than good when it came to touring and her stage fright so hopefully it’s shorter. 
still hoping for a Q4 2025 release

The way I haven't fully recovered from what I lived yet last weekend. I am still speechless on how beautiful and the energy Adele projects on to the crowd the minute she comes out until she magically disappears. My boyfriend left the venue in love with Oh My God and Love Is A Game, he even said the latter was one of her best songs. Those videos posted on Twitter or any other platform does not do justice to how GREAT her voice sounds live. And 99% of the time she sounded better than the originals. I am still processing everything.

We need something for the summer. Her streams always drop hard in the summer. We need A5 to fix that.

Tbh this is why she should solely stick to stadium sized concerts for A5. Less shows = less chance of getting sick and less strain on her vocals

And she was probably forcing herself to do the recent shows, even though she sounded amazing when I saw her; but like she said - it's taken a toll on her voice and now she's got to rest. People are so quick to judge her technique, but she always has people around her guiding her and making sure she does what's best with her instrument.
