Castle On The Hill is actually awful. It's a sad attempt at an AAA song. As a longtime fan of Alternative music, I can objectively tell you that it's trash. I said this the night both songs came out before they charted. It's tragic, kinda sad! People only praise it because they wanna be pretentious and dislike the trendy SOY  

I'll take a generic but flawless pop song like SOY over a bad song like COTH any day

I think sales are dead almost nobody is safe its totally shifting to streaming now. 

 

Katy got a good boost actually better outside the USA after the performance. 

 

She should drop the video on Friday.

"Objectively" and an opinion about music dont go together. Never have and never will.

 

I've listened to COTH way more, I enjoy listening to it way more, so it's better for me.

SOY However sounds like a ripped off Cheap Thrills and The Greatest so maybe I am biased. I liked those songs.
