The only thing that's crazy about Joy Villa being #1 means the GRAMMYs had essentially NO effect on album sales. The AOTY winner can't even surpass her. She can't be selling more than 10K.

25 has already sold 9,2 MILLION COPIES... So, I don't know what kind of boost are you expecting from her. Moreover, most of Adele album sales are physical sales, so unless you're tracking those too, stop making assumptions. Also, when has an AOTY winner with 9,2M copies sold receive a bigger boost? Exactly, so we have no way of comparing because NO ONE HAS DONE IT BEFORE.

Stay pressed, tho :alexz2:

Well there were Adele stans here saying Hello would be back at #1 and 25 would be back at #1 on the BB200 :rip:

I had already stated that those claims were delusional. For "Hello" to top iTunes, it would've needed an over 1,000% increase. The song has already sold 4,81M, so it really doesn't have much room to grow :toofunny2:

Last 5M seller, here we go! :alexz2:

I saw mostly non-fans saying that tbh

iHype's post was in any way or form a shade towards Adele :rip:

No, I'm not expecting a 500K boost. A 50K or even 25K+ boost for any performers or winning albums tonight would be considered a good boost. But a girl walking the red carpet having the biggest boost? I don't see how you could disagree that it's pitiful she has a bigger boost than anyone who performed or won tonight

:rip:

in general I agree but it's not really 'pitiful' as it is disgusting and her EP costs like $4. For all we know, ppl could go out and pick up a physical copy of Adele's album. Guess we'll find out soon who is doing what

"Hello" couldn't even crack the top 10 after winning every major award. I can't say I expected it but it's comprehensible given how much both the song and the album have sold already.

Hopefully 25 can move some physical sales.

the song boosts are pretty low so i'm not surprised.

Joy Villa being #1 on albums is #TrumpAmerica personified

It really is pitiful that she's #1

Y'all saying Adele doing 10k digital copies is terrible... We're in 2017, the Top 10 best sellers will have less than 10k sold albums... #1 best sellers usually had 30-40k sales so far :ahh:

i would understand that if we were in 2010-2014... But from now on we'll have 10-20k best sellers. Stop being so shady.

10-20k? No, the low is 30k set a year and a half ago.

I said "from now on". 2017 summer will be interesting, we'll see how ATRL will have a meltdown cause of their bias. Unless there'll be a big album, i definitively see the #1 seller doing 10k-20k (like we had 15-20k #2 sellers. Why y'all so sure?)

Kworb is projecting Ed for 214k. Perhaps the last non-debut 200k week ever?

Can you guys imagine if Billboard still was using the old formula. Like "xxx" entered the chart at #6 with 9,000 copies sold. :rip:

I think so...

44    31    19    18    20    4    Bruno Mars - That's What I Like    4    1    29    20k    77k    +283%
17    22    18    11    10    8    Bruno Mars - 24K Magic    1[9]    120    130    32k    61k    +88%

:soda:

Ed and Katy slaying too!

Shining shining shining shining ... ALL OF THIS WINNING

Is this going top 10? I think so...

No matter what I say, they always do it (and fail) anyway :alexz2:

"Rolling In The Grammys" has entered the top 200 now. #199 :clap3:

Last I checked, the low #2 is 19k, one time last summer.

You're saying ~15k for #1 sales would be normal very soon. There is in fact a gap there in your figuring.
