Right? if album pre-orders hurt the singles' performance as people say, the lead would have been even bigger if he had released it as the 1st single

This is the singles chart, whoever got the song because he pre ordered the album is not counted in those numbers because it counts as a 1 album sale instead. 

Say Someting should have been the lead.
