  1. They intentionally make it confusing for less informed voters. When I voted it showed no party affiliation but had "incumbent " next to the republican. Most people vote top of the ticket but know little about other races so they just select the first option. I fear this tactic may have been successful. I myself knew who to vote for before going into the booth but im sure most didnt.
  2. Maybe its just copium from all the recent bad news but these numbers speak to more than a D+4 environment, unless Georgia is an anomaly. Dems looking to have a 100K plus early vote advantage come election day next week. A 250K vote total difference from just 4 years ago. For added context, Dems never lead at this point so this is a dramatic shift. Looking like a wave to me
  3. In other news, the Dems continue to over perform in the early vote in Georgia. This being the last week of early voting, typically leads to a larger and more democratic increase in participation. I wouldn't be surprised if the Dems have a 100K vote firewall come election day. Again, the biggest gains made during this primary are two Supreme Court seats.
  4. This is starting to look more and more like the special elections last year that were won by 20+ points. Lots of people I've talked to are aware of the VRA being overturned and are extra motivated to vote. Not trying to be overly optimistic but I can see the entire top leadership flipping this fall. Great news if it happens for VP daddy Ossoff and redistricting in 2030.
  5. Another good early vote day for Dems in Georgia. Over performing continues and the black share is hovering around 40% . We may take the governorship despite Bottoms being a terrible candidate with these numbers.
  6. I'd say if this trend continues through next week, the Dems look pretty solid. The primaries are one thing but the more important races currently are the two Supreme Court seats.
  7. Well maybe this will be a bright spot for you. This is through day 3 of early voting here in Georgia. The Dems never lead and in fact in the 2022 midterms, the Dems were down 17 points at this point in the election cycle. Small sample size but maybe an indicator of what's to come in the fall. Georgia seems poised to flip not only now but going forward.
  8. Probably an outlier but Ossoff looking like he may be able to drag whoever is on the top of the ticket to a narrow win. *Crosses fingers*
  9. Ugh, this is so depressing. Such a great opportunity for a Dem pickup. Helleven Stacy could have won in this environment
  10. So like this has to be the record for worst administration/presidency and it only took a year, right? Record job losses. Weak economy being propped up by AI. Inflation still rampant. I.C.E terrorizing cities/citizens. Attacking our allies and cozying up to other autocrats. Dismantling credibility around the world. Epstien Files. That Damn Ballroom. There's just so much and I've only scratched the surface.
  11. Is it truly the beginning of WWIII? Someone on Twitter compared this time to the beginning of Covid where nobody was really expecting much and then bam, everything is shut down. I wonder if this is the relative "calm" before the storm?
  12. Poll is +4 Republican BTW. Georgia was only 0.72% to the right in the 2024 presidential election in a "red wave". Given the trends I'd say Ossoff looks to be safe, especially if this war and Trumps senile antics continue. Only downside would be the top of the ticket for governor being weak.
  13. This is my feelings on this man and his show. I used to be a somewhat of a fan, until he started playing the both sides game. At no point does he mention how Trump has done nothing to tackle domestic issues other than immigration, and terribly I might add. He doesnt call out Trumps senile state and actions globally as being dangerous around the world but rather him just being "who he is". He allows this senator to spout lame ass euphemisms without addressing any faults within his own parties decisions, specifically the fact that they show no resistance to any of his actions. Why are you in congress senator if your only going to do as your leader instructs you to? He doesnt seem too bothered about the midterms in my opinions which further lends credence that he doesn't expect them to actually occur. Accepting this tyrant as the "new and acceptable normal" is more than enough reason to fear for the future.
