As a whole, Like A Prayer is a masterpiece. When you get to the individual songs, most of them don't really stand on their own or have much replay value except for Like a Prayer and Express Yourself. I rarely go back to tracks like Dear Jessie, Act of Contrition, or Love Song on their own, but I do enjoy them when I listen to the album as a whole.

I always feel like "reductive" was playful/light shade, especially compared to what Grace Jones had to say about Gaga.

Because Gaga lied about receiving an email from Madonna's team saying she approves of Born This Way. That didn't sit right with Madonna, and rightfully so.
