So excited for this! One thing I've realized with Tyla's music is that it doesn't fully hit unless you're listening on a good sound system with subs to get the full effect. I thought this song was cute when listening on my phone and then last night I played the snippet in my car and my speakers were BOOMING. The lows really add depth and complement the melody. Same with Chanel - the moment I listened with headphones, I was sold.

I can't stop playing this! Instant hit material, regardless of what the numbers end up being. Love the stripped back amapiano vibe and the switch up to her flow midway!

Oooh maybe Doja Cat with some 80's era darlings as guests to tie in with her 80's-themed era? Madonna, Phil Collins, Janet... really anyone who had big hits that decade that would resonate with the GP... Could be a fun multi-generational thing if done right? Agreed! Jealous Type is a fun splash of color on the album, but I think it's quite a bit different from the other songs. So far, I'm getting melodic, moody, and sexy... with the raps adding some lightheartedness.

Things I'm loving so far... all the little vocal flourishes... how the 80s elements are weaved throughout -- sometimes flirting with the song from the sidelines and other times taking center stage. It's so classically Doja yet so fresh. Literally feels like I'm slinking between the 80s and present time, and it works!

Interesting that her favorite song is All Mine (along with Take Me Dancing, Acts of Service, and Make it Up - which are probably my top 3 right now, too!). The taste. Can't wait to hear the high note she says she hits in All Mine!

Have you heard the full (demo?) version from earlier this year? I'm shocked it was never taken down from YouTube. I listened to it a few times to whet my whistle earlier this year, and I still can't get the melody out of my head! Curious if she made any changes to it, not that any are needed!
