Zombieboy might have some legs if it gets more TikTok exposure, more so than usual we're in a good position as there's already a dance 'trend' and plenty of well-made videos above 100k likes from the last year so the song won't look like a total flop when people come across the sound this month.

Gaga's discography is such a tapestry of her artistry and life, distinct but interweaving portraits of a strung out girl. The Fame manifests her rise and documents her early years, The Monster deals with the darker side of fame and love in her 20s, Born This Way is iconic cements her legacy as a queer icon and makes it clear she's not going to follow trends, ARTPOP is her thesis on what she aims to achieve in her career, artistic pop, and along with Joanne and Chromatica dealing with several generations of trauma from growing up, starting in the industry, and being objectified once successful, then Mayhem is a full circle recognition that Gaga and Stefani are the artist at the center of all this chaos and they can thrive together. Think my point is that they're all so essential and intrinsic to her point of view as an artist and so ultimately her experiences with the world, most popular artists have at least a few albums that are basically filler/label/producer headed. I wonder where she's going to go next and which integral part of her soul she's going to carve into an album for us next. I feel like we're a due a full on Lady Gaga's take on a love album. She's a very loving and generous person, it makes sense to weave this into her tapestry.

I've always loved the first line of TDD as it echoes what Gaga has always said about "listening" for the words/melody of a song when songwriting and explaining how it just comes to her.

Has anyone said yet if there is at least a fun visual credits for RUNWAY to keep people in the cinema, then GL for the more traditional credits?

I feel like Mastercard funded a lot of Abracadabra and its initial promo. Still, it was a global top 10 for months - Abracadabra, its video, and the cultural reset it ushered in for the Mayhem era more than paid for itself anyway. I'm sure in Gaga's eyes, the Art of Personal Chaos and the number of performances she's done are the era's visuals. The Dead Dance was paid for by Netflix, and Die With a Smile made the era a monumental success before anything else was released anyway.

To be fair, it's quite obvious they released it because it's in the trailer they released 3 weeks ago, it's the name of the magazine in the movie which they've released copies of, and they've used it at every red carpet and on almost every social media ad since its release. It's a promo single for the movie, that's why it's been released early without much direct promo from Gaga. The movie's team 'released' the song imo, not necessarily Gaga's team. Gaga's team are likely waiting for the movie to be released, so they can capitalise on the attention with the two solo soundtrack songs and release Requiem at the peak of the GP interest.

It's always worth saying that Gaga earned all of that and sold that many tickets with no support act either, again.

The Gracie Apple special came out 9 days after the trailer was posted… That was an actual trailer with a date though.

It's a shame some of the extreme reactions to these two songs has meant the production has been under appreciated on both tracks, they're some of the best instrumentals she's released in terms of striking that cord between GAGA and radio/dance floor ready production.

Down to #19 now… a few Bieber songs above though.

A good gauge of if a song has legs beyond passive interest is its performance on Genius, and it's been top 5 for 24 hours now - that's pretty good for a Gaga song!

Great numbers! How does it work with the song being released late Thursday in the US? Did it get any partial streams released or are they included in the 'full first day' numbers?
