  1. I adore it. The way it sounds almost sinister... and how the saxophone perfectly complements the malice in the lyrics. It tickles my brain in the best way.
  2. Such a great piece of songwriting. To sing "I'll wait for your love" towards a vicious public (subliminally) and then have them take it to #1. Oh Ariana, your mind...
  3. Well tbf those complaints were all over Reddit too, and motha seems to like that app.
  4. I just know Madonna's team has been ki-kiing at all the "wHErE is tHe prOmo" and "whERE IS the mUSIC vIDEo" breakdowns over this past month. I told y'all to let them cook.
  5. Yup, and they ended up sounding better to me. Not saying they should import the film mixes into the album (lol) but if Bring Your Love (Afterhours Mix) could match the sound quality of the film, then I don't see why the other tracks couldn't. (Obviously, the discourse around sound quality is mostly subjective but there are aspects of music mixing that are objective. Instrument separation and dynamic range are straight up done better in the film.)
  6. That's good, I guess - it won't ruin your experience of the album. But on headphones, the chorus of Danceteria sounds just a bit tinnier than the film version to me. The synth sounds are more buried in the mix and the bass doesn't hit as hard, idk.
  7. The mixing on Bring Your Love (Stuart's After Hours Mix) is immaculate compared to the other tracks released so far, including the previews that were released on YouTube recently. I hate to say it (and to pile on to the endless complaints about song mixes recently 💀) but Stuart clearly isn't the problem with the muddiness on BYL (with Sabrina) and Love Sensation. And I'm not claiming that mother is to blame, either. But if you compare the sound of Good for the Soul, One Step Away, BYL, and Danceteria in the film to the previews she uploaded to YouTube, they're just so much more pristine and professional-sounding.
  8. It's incredible just how much better this era's rollout has been than anything she's done since 2008. It's what her branding and legacy deserve. Now more than ever, I can see how much Interscope dropped the ball with her during those years she was signed with them.
  9. She has never belted like that live (I would love to be proven wrong on this) but she tore it up. The pipes are piping.
  10. I see someone got a hold of the screenplay
  11. I have a theory that the "wobliness" she's had since the Celebration Tour is down to the heels she insists on wearing. Her moves were shockingly fluid in the One Step Away (table) section, I couldn't believe a 67 y.o. was serving that level of cvnt while pulling it off. Maybe it's easier for her to pull off choreography sitting or laying down? Then again, she did say at Tribeca that the choreo "nearly broke her body" so what do I really know...? 😭
  12. And I've said this in another thread, but the way her charisma was popping out of the screen just slays me. When she goes face-to-face with Sabrina in the BYL part, you can immediately tell who the bigger star is.
  13. Am I correct in saying that she's the first 60+ y.o. artist to be pulling off choreography and stunts in a video like this? I am, right? Absolutely no one is doing it like her. All these years later and she's still blazing a trail for all the girls.
  14. The choreography on the table. The way her charisma was bursting out of the screen during this whole movie. I am beyond gagged.
  15. Am I the only one here who thinks people are being... impatient? Proclaiming the era is "dead" when there's been a drip-feed of surprise announcements (and remixes, and a whole Coachella performance) that we knew nothing about over the past several weeks. If this really is an 'old school' Warner roll-out, then y'all have to learn to trust the process and let them cook. This obsession with instant gratification is not it.
