Such a pleasant surprise! I never expected Danny L. Harle to have worked on this, out of all producers. So stoked and excited for the album!

Been streaming it pretty much every day since it came out. To be quite honest, I felt extremely disappointed when I first heard it like tons of other people. Dua said ''psychedelic'', the album is leaning more into the alternative genre. Been loving French Exit, Maria (just like I knew I would when she unveiled the tracklist), End Of An Era finally hit for me a few days ago. I diidn't really get the hype for that song, but Dua proved me wrong. Happy For You is also growing on me a lot. These Walls is fantastic. Falling Forever has been a grower as well. (She sounds incredible) Whatcha Doing has been a grower too. Really wasn't all for it when I first listened to it, but it's getting better every time I put it on. The only skip is Anything For Love. I go to it every now and again just to hear those vocals, otherwise, it's a no-go; too short, it sounds unfinished. The sound doesn't do the album cover justice though. It's definitely shaping out to be a grower, it doesn't hit you instantly, but if you give it a chance, it'll go to that place eventually. Can Dua do better? Yes. I wish she would've marketed it to us differently. I sincerely hope she tours this one first, then get into the studio to make the next one. It's hard to make an album when you're always moving around. It makes sense why the album was made in a few months since she was always travelling from country to country. Overall, great production, vocals are amazing, basic lyrics, but at least they're digestable. It's clear she's still figuring herself out as an artist, so whoever's saying this is a bad album, they've got questionable taste. At the end of the day, listen to what you wanna listen but don't go and spread hate ''cuz you'll get burnt in the end.

Is this all on French Exit? It's one of my most anticipated tracks! Everyone's putting it on the bottom of their rankings.

I've been literally doing the same thing this past month. I've not listened to Training Season and Houdini since around March 22nd. I'm about to hear Illusionfor the first time tomorrow along with the album. I wanna go in completely fresh into it so I can have the full album experience. However, the other night I listened to the Houdini slowride remix by Danny L Harle a few times just bc I love it so much!

In that case, an Extended version of the album is imminent. 100%!!!

So, just went on to Tidal and read through the credits. It appears that Kevin Parker is credited as a producer on 7 out of the 11 tracks, except... These Walls was produced by Danny L. Exactly! Music is music. You're supposed to listen to it (the music, that being the vocals, melodies, harmonies, production), then comes the lyrics. If the former is lacking, the lather becomes unbearable, espesically in cases like TTPD, where the majority of the songs are literally being read to us. Yes, there are some good melodies and production highlights, but they're not consistent. And like I already said, this is music. Music doesn't need too many words to express an emotion. You need to feel it, it should be effortless. People say it takes time, well, I've listened to it 7-8 times and nothing's really changed. It's not like it's 35 minute album, it's over a ******* hour. The thing that bothers me the most is that you need to be familiar with the TS lore in order to understand the lyrics. Also, I don't understand why some people think they have a right to shove their opinions down our throat just because it's Taylor Swift. She really did drop the ball here, I mean, at the rate that she's making and releasing music, she was bound to. Everyone drops the ball, it's how you pick it up that matters the most. That can be applied to all aspecs of life.

You can't possibly trust this guy. What, he kept count of the beats. I don't believe him for one second! These Walls is a break-up song, so it's probably mid-tempo. Someone on Twitter said These Walls and French Exit are more slower tracks. Even with that, we can't really trust anyone about what the album is. We'll hear it ourselves on Friday (actually, it's coming out at 11 pm CET. Weirdly, it drops at 10 pm in the UK which is really confusing since its official release date May 3rd...

I've only listened to Houdini and Training Season. Loved both! Particularly, Training Season is my personal favourite out of the two. Haven't listened to Illusion yet, waiting for the album to drop to listen to everything all at once. I actually haven't listened to H and TS in weeks, so I can go into the album with fresh ears. From what Dua has said in interviews, all of the songs on ''are completely different but there's a throughline that connects them'' and that guy she did an interview with also said that no two songs are alike, which is kind of to be expected. All tracks on FN are also completely different from each other. I'm sure there's going to be something for everyone on the album. Give it time. FN was more commercially appealing than Radical Optimism, that could by one of the reason many people aren't connect with them. It's clear that Dua is prioritising quality and originality over commercial appeal.

They didn't talk about Whatcha Doing either. Just because they didn't, doesn't mean they're filler tracks.

Same. I was praying the song would be at least 2:58. Based on the leaflet with lyrics that was leaked with the album announcement, Anything For Love has verse 1 - chorus - verse 2 -- chorus. Lots of songs with the same length have a full song structure - verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus. We're Good has even two pre-choruses and even a bridge and is 2:46. Sabrina's new song is 2:56 and it feels so complete. In this case, then, there has to be an extended version of it. She can't just give us 2 minute-song. I mean, the whole album should get an extended version. All the singles do. I don't if this was pre-planned long before Houdini came out and Dua just saw the positive response from the extended version of Houdini and decided to have an extended version for all songs. If this is trip-hop, psychedelic record, then extended mix is a must at this point!

I mean, Dua may never get a no 1 single but what she WILL get is my love and appreciation for her music.

I think it may have something to do with the tracklist and how the songs are positioned. Houdini and Training Season are above the water whilst the rest of the songs along with Illusion are underwater. I have something called chromesthesia which means that I experience music in colours, shapes, textures, etc. Houdini is murky/camouflage green and TS is a mixture of yellow, orange, red, and there's also a bit of purple in it. Both songs have darker elements but not completely. The Illusion cover is black which probably means the song is darker too. I haven't heard the snippet though, I've stopped listening to the singles so when the album comes out, I want to go into it fresh. I'm guessing the further we go into the album, the colour and the vibes of the covers are going to change drastically. For me, the Illusion cover gives me dancing in the dark on a beach near the ocean.

Everything she's released so far is pop perfection. I truly do not get people why they're disliking the songs.

At last, someone who likes Training Season. It's such a unique song and I absolutely love it! This is one of Dua's best songs imo! The chorus is simply immaculate! Regarding the album, I think we'll get 11 completely different songs that somehow fit sonically and lyrically. Dua said everything that's to come is so different from Houdini. Even though TS is right after it, it's still so different. Can't wait to dive deeper into the rest of the tracks. I'm sure this album will not disappoint, the problem though is that people want songs that hit instantlybut Dua strives for longevity and quality and those kinds of songs take longer to digest. I have to admit, I didn't really like Houdini when I first listened to. It grew on me over time as well as TS. It gets better with every listen.

I should've clarified. I've heard both singles. ******* love them! I've streamed them to death! Especially Training Season and I'm still not tired of them. I'm just not listening to them anymore, not until the album comes out. I'm not listening to Illusion either. I want to experience the album fully when it drops.

Just don't listen to it. That's what I've been doing. I won't listen to any of the singles until the album drops.

I'm so psyched for this album! I decided that I'm going to hold off listening to Training Season and Houdini for the next month. I've mostly been listening to Training Season ever since it came out. I may have streamed it close to 1000 times... I can't help it, it's too good. Same thing with Houdini before that. It does sneak in a few times here and there but that's about it. I think it'll be good if I go into the album having not listened to the singles too close to the release date. I feel like that way it'll hit so much harder

Same. I always thought for some reason that all her singles were the best songs off her albums and only listened to them, I was like that with every artist I listened to. I never listened to their album in full whereas now I don't even want to listen to singles. I like how her last few albums had no singles preceding and would jump right into them fresh. But Midnights was a game-changer. I love the sound. I feel like this album was specifically made for me and I instantly connected with it.

Maybe you're right. I don't think Dua will serve us something too short. All of her album songs are always over 3 minutes. In the Rolling Stones interview they mention there's a song that's a ballad fake-out which blooms into a Carole King and Fleetwood Mac-inspired moment even though I've never heard songs from either of those artists. Let's keep manifesting it. So glad Houdini and Training Season are track 2 and track 3. I always hoped that would be the case. Can't wait for the album! I'm sure it's going to be amazing! Both songs are so good. Training Season, though, is a really special song. People are hating on it but I think it's so amazing.

I don't read the lyrics at all, but is ''Anything for Love'' really that short? Compared to all the other songs, it's the shortest one. And I'm not sure why would Dua write such a short song. Maybe it's more instrumental but again, she never had short songs like that one. Someone typed it in and it makes it look like it has a verse 1 / chorus / verse 2 / chorus. Dua always has more than one chorus... Any thoughts, y'all?

No, like I said, it's blurred and you can't really see what's on it apart from what resembles a person in red who's doing some kind of a pose and everything else is black-ish with what I can make out are nuances of green and blue but it definitely doesn't look like water. It could be, though. But you just can't see it... You can go and see for yourself.
