Thus Love Get Stable All Pleasure Kicking off the Top 10 we have the year's ultimate random indie masterpiece. This song screams early-2000s post-punk from every angle, but with a much rawer and more visceral sound. Let's see if they manage to release another track at this level in the future. Turnstile Never Enough Never Enough I love that Turnstile decided to experiment with this album. Never Enough is a pure burst of energy that perfectly captures their hardcore essence, but with that modern twist that makes them stand out. Wet Leg catch these fists moisturizer Wet Leg's comeback was one of my most anticipated releases of the year. moisturizer ended up hitting me harder than their debut album, leaning more into a rock sound, even flirting with dance-punk. catch these fists keeps that chaotic yet catchy vibe that defines them so well. Sleep Token Caramel Even In Arcadia Even In Arcadia is the album that finally turned me into a Sleep Token fan. This record is a revolution in itself, it blends so many different genres that it's surprising it works as well as it does. Caramel is the perfect example: it moves from pop and trap-leaning verses into an ultra-heavy black-metal-style breakdown. It's definitely a song that shifts your perspective on a lot of things. Linkin Park Two Faced From Zero After landing at #31 on my Best Of 2024, this masterpiece makes a comeback this year. I listened to this song nonstop during the first months of 2025, but what really sealed this spot was Linkin Park epic performance in Lima a few months ago. Surprisingly, Two Faced was one of the songs the crowd connected with the most, even more than several of their hits. Inhaler A Question Of You Open Wide Inhaler have become one of my faves with just a couple of albums. Open Wide was one of my most anticipated releases of the year, and it fully lived up to my expectations. A Question Of You is the best track on the album, alongside other masterpieces I really wish had been singles too (like Little Things or Billy Yeah Yeah Yeah). On top of that, I finally got to see them live this year at their Lollapalooza sideshow, and it easily ranked as a top-5 concert of the year. President In The Name Of The Father King Of Terrors When I say this was one of the best years in metalcore history, this band is the main reason why. This is probably the best debut single ever. Beyond the mystique surrounding the band for being "anonymous," the song itself is just brutal. The intro is insane and gives you goosebumps instantly. The breakdowns are flawless and the melody is unforgettable. I really hope we get a full studio album from President soon. Taylor Swift The Fate Of Ophelia The Life Of A Showgirl My hype for Taylor's new album was already through the roof when she announced the release date would be on my birthday. Thankfully, TLOAS didn't disappoint, if anything, it far surpassed TTPD. The Fate Of Ophelia might be her best lead single to date, which is saying a lot. I'm really glad Taylor is leaning back into more traditional pop without losing her introspective edge. South Arcade 2005 2005 South Arcade is the band with the most potential I've discovered this year. I always say early-2000s nostalgia works best when you develop your own identity instead of sounding like a copy of someone else, and that's exactly the case here. Harmony Cavelle is a fantastic vocalist; her tone fits this genre perfectly. I got to see them live in Los Angeles last month, this masterpiece was the opening song, and it was epic. Time will tell if they end up becoming my new faves. Twenty One Pilots The Contract Breach This year I was lucky enough to see TOP twice on The Clancy Tour (Santiago) and The Clancy Tour: Breach (NYC). Out of the three times I've seen TOP (the previous one was back in 2019), the Breach Tour was by far the best and most special. The Contract was definitely one of the highlights of the night. The dark, tension-filled vibe works perfectly with the elements that define TOP sound, Tyler's signature emo screams and the thunderous drum patterns reminiscent of Heavydirtysoul. This marks the fourth time TOP take my song of the year, following Holding On To You (2013), Jumpsuit (2018) and Chlorine (2019). Thanks for your comments!
