Nelly Furtado - 'Loose (20th Anniversary)'
ugh I hate when these big anniversary releases are incomplete, gotta make a playlist with the expanded edition and the new stuff from this one. but appreciate the number of new songs and versions, it does not feel like a quick cash grab
-
do you listen to Bad Gyal?
YES. known her for years and La Joia made me become a fan. her old stuff can be jarring due to the excessive use of autotune but Warm Up, Sound System EP and La Joia are all so good. probably even better if you speak Spanish. very excited for her upcoming album

Is this Madonna's worst song ever?
oh I thought this would be promotion for the streaming release of Auto-Tune Baby. I love when Madonna releases these silly songs just for fun. but yeah, B-Day Song was just a waste of a M.I.A. collaboration, she must have been so confused to do that kind of song with M
-
Madonna - 'Confessions On A Dance Floor (Twenty Years Edition)'
wow Fighting Spirit AND Super Pop we're close to getting all her b-sides on streaming
-
Tash Blake - Die In Your Arms
she's so good at bringing back the classic pop sound (without just reheating it), I wish she'd have the same success as Rose Gray
-
Rosalia's Lux has a big surprise collaboration
it must be Enya, I can feel it
-
Nelly Furtado celebrates 25 yrs of career and announces another break
really bummed hearing this, I was hoping she'd focus on releasing a new album and possibly tour it. the 7 album was a strong collection of songs and she seemed so happy to be back on stage when I saw her in Hamburg, it felt like things were finally starting off and she would continue as a legacy act
-
No Angels - 'It's Christmas'
ugh nobody asked for that... we need a new pop album. they should take notes from the Sugababes
-
When it comes to music of the gay icons, why does ATRL talk about Cher the least?
I believe in general it's the lack of dance hits and she has only released three albums of original songs since 2000 without any hit singles or relevancy, therefore no touching points with the young generations
-
Katy B - "Avalanche"
great comeback, I'm ready for more
-
Black Eyed Peas - 'Monkey Business (20th Anniversary Edition)'
a classic, I listened to it on repeat back in high school. great to have the b-sides finally on streaming
-
Friend of Mine is the only Rihanna's song in the Smurfs movie. Why?
she was too exhausted after recording Friend of Mine
-
Rihanna - "Friend of Mine (from the Smurfs Movie Soundtrack)"
I kinda love it. it sounds like a Four Tet dance track sampling Rihanna which takes you sonically to a magic mushroom infused rave in the Georgian desert. does it work as a Rihanna song? no.
-
Whats your karaoke pick for each pop girl?
my favorites at the gay bar are these, sometimes just me or together with a friend. should be mentioned that I'm better at performing than singing Rihanna - We Found Love Britney - I Wanna Go Fergie - Fergalicious Nelly Furtado - Promiscuous Madonna - Girl Gone Wild Sugababes - Push The Button Kelis - Milkshake

Have we now entered the post imperial phase of Taylor's career?
obviously a temporary blip. but it makes me wonder if she can even get bigger with next album. the Eras tour was so massive in its magnitude and media coverage it's almost impossible to surpass that.
