The minority of arabs decided against this and were awarded 50% of the territory. Hun, this isn't the 1930s. Israel is not going to stand by and watch Jews get slaughtered. Them attacking Gaza is a warning to them that if they ever attack Israel again they are going to be met with harsher consequences similar to when the US nuked Hiroshima. The Gazans can decide to either stop attacking Israel or be met with harsher consequences. It's their choice.
