Not one soul stopped to realize Shakira is literally from the Afro-Colombian region of the Caribbean….. Barranquilla has, by a huge margin — far closer ties to African culture/heritage than Houston. And it's not even close. No shade to Beyonce because I also Stan her, but let's be real.

This tour's opening rivals her best (Tour of the Mongoose). It's absolutely amazing live in person; La Fuerte SLAPS. I can go to multiple shows just for that opening alone. She's always had amazing openings tbh, even her most basic ("organic") tour did so.

Her dancers were filmed rehearsing Zoo which makes me think they were at least projecting to tour Japan, SK, etc.... maybe it just didnt work out? Her team should really give everyone more information on what we can expect the rest of this year.

I see 2 possibilities 1.They're marketing these concerts as a 'European Residency" to ensure the revenue is made and all Spanish dates are "sold out" .... maybe to prove a point (to someone). Then later on will just "oopss nevermind, I'm also going to the rest of Europe". 2. Something big happened and they had to make this change rather recently, perhaps it has to do with revenue? Logistics? It's obviously not about demand as Shakira can sell out stadiums in far more places besides Spain.... this is incredibly disappointing and downright disrespectful. I'm perched for the Egyptian and Indian shows (if they even take place), but I'm kinda over this fiasco.

Her releasing all these pictures probably ruined the hype for the video. I dont understand the delays.... I'm still wanting to know what happened to the Tyla colab (and video).

At this point, I'm under the impression that the European leg will be just as extensive as the American one. Perhaps they truly did mean to release the dates earlier this month but are now probably scrambling because of the inevitable rescheduling of the Middle Eastern dates. Realistically, even if the current political climate improves today, I would imagine those late March/early April dates will still need to be pushed for a later date b/c how fast could things "go back to normal" really?

Id be disappointing if the Middle Eastern leg is cancelled all together. I sincerely hope it's rescheduled instead. How were ticket sales going?

Would it be wrong to assume the Tyla colab has been axed at this point? I figured she was going to use that (English track) as a push/promo for the european dates.

Wasn't Whenever Wherever a MOMENT in Japan? I really do think Shakira could do at least arenas in Australia and Japan. Do these markets suffer from ageism as much as the American market?

This is my concern lol and what I really want to know. Having multiple shows in one stadium to account for the Spanish and Portuguese markets/fans makes sense.... but expecting all European fans/regulars to travel to Spain is kind of a stretch. She did mention that she'd "see" Italy, the UK, and France "pretty soon".... hopefully that means something.

Watch her not perform Ojos Asi at the festival in UAE much like at the Chicago festival.

I hope the show evolves as it transitions to parts of the world where performing her English music would make more sense. Would love to see her perform Islands (especially in the UK), Gypsy, Illegal, Costume Makes the Clown, RFTGT, The One, Cut Me Deep, or even Beautiful Liar; there's even an English version of Inevitable which she performed along Melissa Etheridge which is actually very good.

Ultima fits the "Up close & Personal" theme quite well and she already has many uptempo songs on the setlist. I may be biased though as I always skip Cohete, its just a filler to me.

Not performing Ojos Asi and Ultima is quite honestly, criminal. I'll be attending tonights show with my family but I have to admit that if it weren't for the fact that we think "its the last show (of hers) we'll get to see", I'd be selling those tickets as I already saw her earlier this year. Removing one of THE elements that perhaps most properly identify who she is in music (Ojos Asi) is just....

I thought about this too!! and having her book multiple nights throughout Portugal and at least two in France and Morocco lol.

The CHOKEHOLD when/if Shakira performs Ojos Asi and Whenever Wherever in India, Dubai, Lebanon, and Turkey. The intros to those songs are a gag in a stadium setting with quality audio. It's something out of this world really. I'm ready Xena!!

Are shows in the Europe usually all GA? Or do they have assigned seating (outside of the floor). I'm considering using some AA miles to fly somewhere in Europe to see her but I'm not one to camp 2 days before shows to be close to her lol. I prefer arriving 30 minutes before the show starts to an empty assigned seat waiting for me lol.
