  1. Now it's a "Zionist lie" that people were raped on October 7 and in captivity as hostages? What happened to the whole believe women thing? (And the overwhelming evidence and testimony that has come out corroborating this horror?) or does it not apply when they're Jews I mean Zionists
  2. The thousands maimed wereโ€ฆ terrorists from Hezbollah no? The ones that have been shooting rockets at Israel for the past 11 months and killed Israeli schoolchildren on a soccer field just a short while ago. Weird how there was no outrage there right? what I find odd is Israel is criticized for being too indiscriminate in its attacks. And then, in perhaps one of the most precise ways possible, Israel detonates the beepers solely owned by Hezbollah members (the same group who, again, has been sending rockets for almost a year at Israel that thousands of civilians have been displaced from the constant rocket fire) - and then the criticism is that too was wrong. So what is the proper way for Israel to defend itself? Is Israel not allowed to retaliate against an Iran-based proxy group operating out of Lebanon that has killed its people and has been shooting rockets at its people for a year? weird how that works
  3. Dont you think there would be a report from literally any news source if there was a nuclear bomb detonatedโ€ฆ. Yikes
  4. Yes this is definitely real. Left QAnon vibes
  5. Have you ever been to Israel? Lol. Curious where this inaccurate assessment comes from
  6. Most hostages and Israelis are not white. You can easily google and see the faces of Ethiopian Jews and Middle Eastern Jews who have darker skin color than many Palestinians (as well as the Thai hostages that are still held captive) This isn't some Western racial narrative, it's far deeper and more complicated than that.
  7. Generally, and sadly, there has been inevitable misinformation on both the Israeli and the Palestinian side- something common whenever there are contentious, high profile, and widely commented on breaking events and stories. (Example - that the IDF bombed a hospital when it was actually a failed rocket launch from Hamas (source: https://www.npr.org/2023/10/19/1207173798/fake-accounts-old-videos-and-rumors-fuel-chaos-around-gaza-hospital-explosion) but these unfortunate and common fake news stories do not take away the suffering of Palestinian civilians, nor do they take away from the suffering that hostages and their families have and continue to endure. enough of making this some sporting event and fueling blind hatred - these are real people's lives.
  8. Yes, she's spoken about how relatively lucky she was compared to conditions of other hostages. She also spoke about the horror of being taken and being a literal hostage for months, the trauma she still endured as a hostage (described in that same testimony), and how her boyfriend still is not free. And this comes after six hostages recovered yesterday had bullets in them from their captorsโ€ฆand after testimony of rape and abuse from survivors and freed hostages. Bizarre to cherry pick different stories to fuel your own agenda - which seems to be insinuating that actually being held hostage isn't that bad? Weird
  9. Amazing to see you caring about antisemitism now. Just like how Trump uses us, Jews aren't your political football <3
  10. Hasn't Hamas literally refused to hold elections in Gaza since seizing power? and who are you to decide what one group has to prioritize in its votes? If the election of Donald Trump will lead to the "mass deportations" that he is gleefully promising, are DREAMers and those affected by these threats not allowed to vote in their interest? Unfortunately we have a two party system where there are two options - one party will be in power. Why are voters punished or shamed for voting for the candidate that they believe will do the most good - or even least amount of harm - on net?
  11. Nevada is crazy given how close the state is. +18?!?
  12. There's a difference between 1) the Democratic Party - a political orhanization - legally acting as a political party and allegedly working to coalesce around the candidate they believe will achieve their goal of being elected into power and 2) Trump and his team working to stop states from certifying their election results because it was not in their favor AND encouraging a violent insurrection to prevent the peaceful transition of power.
  13. Yes but the voters decided on Biden on Super Tuesday no?
  14. Didn't we cheer about this when people tried to drop out to coalesce against Trump in the primaries? And didn't Biden end up winning against Bernie after they were the last two left anyway lol
  15. Because they dont actually care about progress. It's a game to too many people sadly and Palestinians and Israelis suffer because of it
  16. Could it be that the majority of Americans just support Israel and this isn't some Jewish conspiracy? Doesn't the NRA prevent policies - like universal background checks - that 90%+ of the electorate supports whereas an overwhelming majority of Americans believe in Israel's right to exist? which is not to say AIPAC, like any other well funded interest group, doesn't have an impact. But to blame it on AIPAC and not just foreign policy and domestic opinion is interesting
  17. No justification for that. Ever. Thankfully I can condemn the r*pe of human beings. Oddly enough that doesn't seem to apply for some when it was done against Jews. When it's not outright denied, it's justified as "liberation." Weird how that works, must just be a coincidence
  18. Lmao what does that even mean. And I thought Zionism was separate from Judaism? Interesting how that works isn't it
  19. Glad you as nonJews can declare what's actually best for Jews. Thank you ๐Ÿ™ anyway, it wasn't antisemitic for Kamala not to choose Shapiro and again, that was not my point. And obviously Fox News does not actually care about antisemitism lmao
  20. I'm assuming Biden's legal team headed by former Obama-era AGs are going to transition to working for Kamala to prepare for legal challenges to the vote count. Lots of work done there which is great. But also the Trump election deniers now have the experience and lessons from their last failed attempt so it's definitely still scary
  21. Legit already commented on this exact line of reasoning. Won't hash it out again, but this is equivalent to saying conservatives cannot be racist because they support Clarence Thomas. Just doesn't work like that
  22. Fair. What I worry about is just general racism and misogyny toward Kamala that make many people cast her as progressive as a baseline regardless of the stances she takes. And then when you consider her 2020 stances that NYTimes and Fox/NYPost keep highlighting, picking Walz definitely only enforces the narrative. But like you said, they'd be pushing it either way so who knows
