feminism should be broad enough to include different types of women and their preferences, including those who want to embrace a more traditionally "soft" or dependent role, just like it should include those who want to be ultra-independent or reject traditional gender roles altogether. the point of feminism is to give people freedom to live how they want, without being boxed in. if bebe wants a more traditionally "masculine" partner while she embraces a softer, more vulnerable version of herself, that shouldn't automatically disqualify her from feminism. the key is that she's choosing it, not being forced into it. also, some men don't feel comfortable leaning into femininity, and that should be okay too. like someone else said here, there is toxic masculinity, and there is POSITIVE masculinity. the problem is when people are shamed either way. women for being too strong or too soft, men for being too emotional or too stoic. so much of it comes down to the fact that liberation means options, not new rigid norms dressed up in progressive language. let the girl want what she wants.
