Uniquely in Gaza, that percentage drops to a little over 50% which is really remarkable considering that Gaza is a very densely-populated, small urban area and Hamas' extensive use of human shields. The Lebanese Army is allowing it so it's not really an invasion. In fact, they withdrew from the border to let Israel get on with the job as they have done previously.

Israel just decapitated the Hezbollah leadership without even stepping foot in Lebanon through precision airstrikes. This ground operation in Lebanon now is to decimate the remaining disorganized rank and file of Hezbollah. This is far from genocidal. If anything, it shows Israel is a masterclass in modern warfare.

It involves a clash of nationalisms, histories, and competing claims over land. People who support Israel come from a wide range of backgrounds and political ideologies. Why is the concept of an entire Islamic region not a concern for you, yet the existence of a tiny, sovereign Jewish nation fighting to survive in a hostile environment becomes such a significant issue? The "terrorist" tag is only applied to NON-STATE actors who engage in violent acts against governments or civilians for political or ideological purposes. It is opposition to established powers. Colonizers, being representatives of state powers, are not terrorist. Their actions are categorized as military conquest or colonialism, not terrorism.

Israel has long been hated by most of the world since ancient times, so it's hardly surprising that the establishment of the State of Israel, along with the unwavering determination of the Jewish people to defend their sovereign right to exist, would further intensify such animosity.

If anything, the Jewish people are the only non-Muslim ethnic group in the region well-equipped to combat Islamic terrorism and resist Islamic subjugation. If other groups like the Kurds, Yazidis, Assyrians, Maronites, Copts were equally strong as the Jewish people, the Middle East & North Africa would have not been dominated by Islamic theocracies but instead be thriving multicultural societies.

Not even the ICC prosecuter who requested a warrant for both sides of the conflict did so NOT on the basis of Article 6 (genocide), but instead under Articles 7 (crimes against humanity) and 8 (war crimes). No experts on the field agreed with the genocide label. The "genocide" label bounces around only with the Tiktok crowd and parties that clearly have an antisemitic interest. Israel could have used much more damaging bombs if the real intent was genocide. It has the means to exterminate Palestinians and is not doing so. Israel's aim is to defeat specifically Hamas combatants, who operate in a densely populated civilian region. It's a conflict, not genocide. And it's NOT even the bloodiest conflict in recent history in the Middle East. Not even top 5. The Syrian Civil War, Yemeni Civil War, Iraq conflict, Libyan Civil War & ISIS insurgency are way bloodier in terms of death toll.
