Will Release Fifteenth Studio Album This Year __________________________________________________ In an interview with The Associated Press on Friday afternoon, the legendary songstress confirmed that she will release her fifteenth studio album in 2017, commenting: "Not everybody is able to keep putting out records that far into their career." The album has not yet been slated for release, though it is thought that the lead single will be released soon. On the album's sound, Carey commented: "It's a very personal album. The vibe is R&B hip-hop and there are some jams on there. It's also a lot more sultry than my previous albums, but there are some deep and introspective moments." Many have speculated that the singer will draw inspiration from her recent breakup with James Packer for some heartwrenching ballads, and while Mariah neither confirmed or denied these rumours, she commented: "You'll have to wait and see! There are definitely ballads on the album, which may or may not be about somebody." She said she hoped there would be "something for everyone", on the album and commented that following the success of her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour in Europe, she would love to tour with the album. It will be Carey's first studio release (not counting #1 To Infinity in 2015) in three years, since releasing her fourteenth studio album "Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse". Her new label are yet to comment on the album.
