Kelela - 'new avatar'
This is definitely more cohesive and a better album than Raven. I understand why the Contact girlies are disappointed as it's entirely not that record. Sonically, reminds me most of L'Rain, esp on tracks like "Against Me". My main gripe w the record is that I wish the rock/alt influences from the earlier singles shone more on the album. It's more rnb than experimental, like she was afraid to go all the way. I can see her jelling really well with someone like Kevin Parker if she wants to continue exploring this direction. Kinda like how Rihanna brought a lot of soul to his work.

ROSALÍA - 'LUX'
They did not like Bergain and the album is more of the same in terms of their commentary on that track.
-
Lorde - "Man Of The Year"
To be fair, there isn't too much to say about the song. It goes and goes and then it's gone. Actually a great description. It's lacking a focal point.

Lorde - "Man Of The Year"
Calling this her Happier Than Ever era is such an insult and disservice to Billie, who has not gone a single album cycle without multiple hits all the while still evolving creatively as an artist. She ate Lorde's lunch long ago and these two songs have a desperate air of trying to play catch-up. Solar Power's first outings in retrospect were more daring and had more of a coherent vision, on top of possibly being better songs as well. I still have hope the album may be something, but that hope is wading rapidly.

Wolf Alice - "Bloom Baby Bloom"
It's not giving. Disappointed. the scream is cringe. it's Grimes coded (derogatory).
-
Beyoncé - 'COWBOY CARTER'
Just noticing the parallels between Pure Honey/Sweet Honey Buckin. - both contain Honey in the title - both second to last songs - both have a switch-up midway through the track
-
Beyoncé - 'COWBOY CARTER'
Rodeo is incredibly boring and nowhere near as evocative. I'm glad she went this route.

Lana Del Rey - 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd'
You couldve told me Fishtail was a Cumtrail b-side and I wouldnt have even blinked
-
Lana Del Rey - 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd'
Kintsugi and Margaret try their best to ruin the album. Honestly feel like it wouldve been received better overall if not for those two, literal bloat.
-
Yves Tumor - 'Praise a Lord Who Chews but Which Does Not Consume'
Heaven surrounds me like a hood hit me today. Maybe one their best songs
-
Lana Del Rey - 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd'
Fishtail is bottom tier of sure. It's like something a Born To Die stan would enjoy
-
Lana Del Rey - 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd'
I agree, I might have to find a good edit and replace it. I want to like the song but I also can't get over the intro. It certainly was a choice.

Lana Del Rey - 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd'
I'm pretty sure everyone will collectively agree at some point Margaret is the worst song
-
Lana Del Rey - 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd'
Paris Texas is kinda awful on 4th listen. She should've gave it to Taylor

Lana Del Rey - 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd'
it's also not as good as NFR, so there's that
