Yeah I love her but the only reason it's so widely known is because of the movie. As a standalone performance it's a pretty bad performance for her standards: the build-up to the "ah-aaah" moment and the moment in itself were messy. Coming from the woman who blessed with the Sound of Music medley it is disappointing.

It is not really meaningful. The public who bought Shallow on iTunes in 2018/2019 is not representative of the music consumer base, while those who purchased on iTunes earlier in the decade were. This ranking doesn’t mean anything anymore.

It spent like 8 weeks #1 on the radio here. I woke up this morning and the car passing by was playing the song. I never thought she’d be this huge here again, I’m so happy. Especially with a country-sounding / soft rock song.
