No way they letting her get it" - from a black woman It's the truth. Everyone is a liability especially going against TRUMP who has no filter and is a walking contradiction that people gravitate towards.

That debate WILL change everything. Especially for Biden. He's not even flashy with his "centrism". Pete and Beto do it way better. Kamala is kind of that flip-flopper, but leaning progressive at least in rhetoric. Bernie, Elizabeth, Tulsi being unapologetically progressive, populist. And then there's Biden who have to spend every second either defending his trash record or offering no plans for the future. I don't see how he comes out good.

Their candidates can't raise money outside of a Wall Street executive's house. To think they are going to care about grassroot mobilization is not happening because their candidates of choice aren't running that game. They truly are being duped.

And which candidate is this? Beto's climate plan has issues. The Sunrise Movement came out and said this plan was ****. So yeah. EDIT: He wants a plan to cut emission by 50% by 2030 and 0% by 2050. That's terrible as the scientists already said we need to get to 0% by 2030. Again, being the "centrist", "reasonable" candidate huh? Yeah because moderates will vote for someone who wants to get there by 2050 rather than 2030. Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders just came out with the most ambitious climate change plan. Wants a complete ban on fracking, a carbon tax, etc.

I wasn't directing the criticism towards you. My apology. I'm in agreement with you. Not only is his support from Millennials will be trash, but a significant portion of Millennials ARE people of color. That negative press and attitude we will have towards Biden won't just be an echo chamber. Those Millennials have to and hopefully will convince enough Gen X and Baby Boomer POC to maybe seek another option. Like I said, the oldest Millennial will be 40 (the age of the youngest Gen X last election). So you can see that the political environment and discussion is no longer being shaped by the "Old people" that we're used too. Those "young people" who voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012 are now adults with careers and families. It's a different ball game for Biden next year.

Did you even watch the segment? The one where MSNBC lied on air, in front a Bernie Sanders' campaign Co-Chair (Nina) about how Bernie is not doing well among minorities + highlighted the fact (and it is true) that he got booed by a few people at a WOC event. First of all, polling suggest he's doing better than others among minorities so it's a lie the media keeps perpetuating. Second, yes maybe he didn't give policies tailored specifically for black women (whatever that may be), but again, that's all a matter of debate. We can have it, but the way MSNBC framed it is JUST how they tried framing the reparations debate a few months ago. Talking about it as if it's a widely popular, contentious debate that Bernie is inherently on the wrong side of history on. Again, that's not true, but if you watched that segment, Joy Reid would have you believing that. THIRD thing: Nina answered and rebutted Joy perfectly IMO >>>>>> Nina even said she wished Bernie really highlighted the racial disparity within the income/wealth disparity (which he didn't do at the forum but has started to do in interviews, town halls, and rallies). Even the rallies with a majority white crowd in states like Iowa. Next week it'll be something new on him.

Yes and no. Hillary won Iowa (barely) and lost badly in NH. But she won Nevada and SC which basically sealed the deal. If you can get the white populist vote (Iowa), young/liberal vote (NH), Hispanic/union vote (Nevada), and black/Southern rural vote (SC) you won. It basically is good will and free press and good indication of your appeal and you'll probably go on to win Super Tuesday (especially California since it's a melting pot of all those first four contests). This primary is gonna be interesting to say the least. So yeah those first four states will likely narrow the field down from a dozen to about 4-6. Super Tuesday will give us a Top 2/3 frontrunner race (hopefully the frontrunner wins the 1st four states + Super Tuesday to wrap this **** up early). By the end of April 2020 (when the other important states vote like Michigan, Wisconsin, etc.) we'll not only know who our nominee is but give us a idea of their GE appeal.

And a lot of young people + minorities + progressives might do like they did in 2016 and not vote. I think this "moderate Republican will vote for a centrist Dem" is a media talking point that has no basis in reality. It's gonna be a 2016 repeat if Joe Biden is in there unless he really is politically savvy.

Here's a prediction: Biden doesn't even rank Top 3 among Millennials by time the primary ends. He'll have to perform really really well among older people to win. Millennials aren't really "young" anymore. The oldest Millennial will be 40 next year.

Why do people act like the election is next week? This number is not backed up but probably closer to reality: 95% of black people probably have no idea about him not wanting to desegregate buses. Do people not realize it's 2019? Young POC will let their parents and grandparents know. If the media doesn't do it, we have too. He's got a lot to answer to in the coming year.

Stupid ass people in here. I swear. The DNC and politicians can sell your donor info to whoever they want (for completely unrelated campaigns at times). Bernie's tool is perfectly legal, grassroot, and the way to engage voter turnout and registration. You're only putting in names of people you know who may or may not be supporting them so they can begin to reach out to people who may not be aware or into that particular campaign yet. I think all candidates should and will follow. Another blueprint from Bernie's team, and you can tell Millennials are putting in the work in his staff >>>>>>> What's wrong with that? It's about voter mobilization and turnout. Biden has never proved he can do that so. If Biden wins Iowa, NH, and California I'd be SHOCKED. If he can't win those three (and that's for every candidate) he's not winning the nomination.
