Coming in to say exactly this. Why has she not posted anything about a single cover, a release date or an announcement about the song? Does she think that non fans would check on some producer's podcast description to know when the single is released? She didn't even mention in the sneak peek post that it's a new song. I'm just getting so frustrated with her.

Yes and you have proven our point by exactly what you are writing here. It's our fight, not Matty Healy's. And we don't fight the phobia by kissing another person of the same gender in front of everyone and shouting profanity and saying they suck. If anything that gives the homophobes the ammunition to claim that LGBT communities are extremists. What we need is a moderate approach that's acceptable for everyone, and time, just as you said. The UK, Germany and the USA are not Muslim majority and their cultures are vastly different from ours. It's gonna take more time for them to open up.

Agreed 100%. Only the LGBTQ community living in the country would understand how difficult this situation is for themselves. We don't like what the govt is doing but this current govt party is considered the more liberal one as compared to the opposition who tried to ban Coldplay because they raised a rainbow flag in their concert, or Blackpink for even coming to the country at all because 'entertainment isn't the majority-Muslim Malaysia's culture and would do anything to topple the current govt so they can employ their backward regime onto everyone. Matty is doing more harm than good for us. I understand his POV a hundred percent because it's not ok for the govt to bully the minority community but man, educating the people and the govt about basic human rights in a developing country is not the same as how the first world countries do it.
