Political Thread: 2018-2020 ?? Biden-Harris Win POTUS
The Medicare for All bill says rates will be paid at Medicare rates, not Medicaid rates. Furthermore, approval rates of Medicare are higher than medicaid. Extending either of these programs without fixing the cost of healthcare is blatantly ignoring the real issue that Americans are facing today: unnecessarily high cost health care.

Actually he has a chance to forcefully respond to that today. He didn't kill that poor man. It was a tragedy and he can control what the response is but not that it happened. He didn't intervirew and hire that racist pollice officer.

Do your research, it's actually quite true. Hospitals and physicians often lose money off of medicare patients. If everyone paid the rates medicare patients pay, a large proportion of hospitals would shut their doors and it would exponentially increase the amount of time it takes to get a doctor's appointment or surgery. That being said, I'm not saying that means the solution is keeping the system as it currently is. We should be focusing on how to decrease the cost of healthcare at large - regardless of whether taxes or a private citizen's wallet is paying for it. We need to accept foreign physician licenses, subsidize med school, regulate the pharma industry, and invest more heavily in federal research. The priority should be to focus on policy fixes that bring the actual cost of health care down (ours is through the roof vs. other countries'), not who or how we pay for it.
