lhdang2000 Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 CTTR. Praying is such a powerful, stunning track.
Staryu Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 The Cure, CTTR, and Praying are all wonderful
Bubble Tea Posted December 27, 2017 Author Posted December 27, 2017 3. Homemade Dynamite- Lorde This honest-to-god is probably Lorde’s best ever song. It never gets old. I mean honestly I could just have done a “Top 11 songs of the year” and CTRL+C’d Melodrama (with some order reshuffling) cause it really is that album, but nonetheless here we are. The flow, the lyrics, the sound, the the amount of visual lyrics aka. “A couple rebel top gun pilots flying with nowhere to be” & the holy “we’ll up painted on the road, red and chrome, all the broken glass sparkling.” Like the word “sparkling” never should have worked here but it does perfectly. Truly the Lorde. And what this year has been a better earworm than “homemade d-d-d-dynamite”? Nothing. That’s what. Legend SNAPPED!

lhdang2000 Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Homemade Dynamite is one of Lorde's best tracks ever.

Thorns- Bonnie McKee If y’all have been following my three years of Sticky & Sweet Top 50/25s, you’d know that Bonnie always manages to feature cause for me she is that bitch. It’s a shame she always talks about releasing more music more easily and quickly, but she never does and so us little bonbonsters are left starving for tracks. However whenever she does finally decide to throw us a bone, it is meaty and juicy! Case in point: “Thorns.” Name ONE wig not in orbit after getting brutally lashed and bloodily slain upon listening to this infectious banger? Every single lyric is twitter profile ready. Bonnie really does still have iT when it comes to songwriting. Come through with that full length sophomore album this year Bonnie, I’m not kidding. It’s time.
Dom Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 ummm, she released smth this year. let me loook.. omg kinda reminds me of carly rae jepsen, cute.
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted December 27, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 27, 2017 I kinda remember this song

Bubble Tea Posted December 30, 2017 Author Posted December 30, 2017 Time to announce my #1... She has already featured, and I have already praised this song on numerous other rates. (It's not Taylor)
TayRianaPH Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Spill it already hun! Hoping it's Taylor, and you were referring to a different Taylor at your post comment on mine too
Bubble Tea Posted December 31, 2017 Author Posted December 31, 2017 (edited) 1. Bad Liar- Selena Gomez It wasn’t until “Hands to Myself” came along that I finally woke up to the fact that Selena Legend is a top tier pop force and less beautiful whispery queens better watch out. Needless to say after Revival Selena was finally on my radar - and woo lordT when she released this damn smash with a correspondingly amazing ARTy video. She went off! HEW knew she could roll like that? It’s weird she has this FLAWLESSLY developing artistic taste, direction and sound - and yet she goes running back to Bieber? I love me some papi Diplo but we don’t need legend going down that road - and I’m afraid that’s all he can offer. However - may it never be forgotten that in 2017, the poster of the former-most-liked-instagram-post, released an actually artistically boundary pushing song. Your fave? Anyway, that concludes the Sticky & Sweet Top 25 for 2017! Thanks for all your comments & I hope a few people have heard and liked some songs they’d never bothered to listen to before, and I hope your diets haven’t been completely thrown out of whack thanks to cravings induced by my delectable images. Merry Christmas guys and all the best for 2018! Pray for our faves to claim back the charts that have been so unjustly stolen from most of them the last few years. This list is now complete. You can view all songs and commentary from 1 - 25 here on one page if you wish. lhdang2000 Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 I’ve been really enjoying your countdown. A well-deserved #1 also. I wasn’t keen on Bad Liar at first, but then everything just worked, and the song sounds so sophisticated and amazing to me.
