It must be nice to know you can commit a string of inexcusable actions over a decade and still have the success you see. The fans and celebs are equally to blame for idolising him over the years because he had a prolific r&b career they looked up to at one point and let that cloud their judgement

while I think the music was bound to fall off regardless... up through 2022–early 2023 Lizzo was still doing well until the lawsuit happened after she was on the high of About Damn Time. It changed her good person/body positivity image and perception, then she disappeared and every thing else followed. She was cancelled by the people that were supporting her based on her personality alone for sure.

It's a bit disturbing how RnB and Hiphop artists seem to be immune from getting cancelled. Chris Brown, Kanye, R Kelly, Tory Lanez, Rick Ross have all done terrible things and their careers go on mostly unscathed. And it took Diddy almost 30 years to get cancelled.
