From the way I understand this absolute masterpiece, she isn't really asking about the meaning of the literal translation, but more like the other girl actually meant to say that she seriously love her. I think the question is a mix of shock, with confusion, with curiosity. Not really just asking the translation of something.

 

All in all, a perfect song, never offend anything about it anymore.
